I see the word "hoppy" and immediately look the other way. A friend convinced me to try this beer and I was quite impressed! There is an oh-so-slight bitterness and hop flavor that smoothes out the beer to make for an excellent, refreshing drink. This pours with a shade not unlike orange juice.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Good and easy drinking, which I think is what they intended. The aroma was a hint of wheat, grass and hops but not like an IPA and more like a pale ale. The color was a very clear lemon or straw. It looked filtered. There was a nice sustainable head. The mouthfeel was medium weight with a slight crispness. Medium carbonation. The taste was well balanced with a definite presence of wheat and lemon. Hops were present with a slight amount of pine and citrus. Even finish. Would probably go well with a hamburger.

Its combination of citrus, wheat and hops make a perfect blend for a fantastic beer. This is my go to beer for morning tailgates. You can drink this beer any time of day.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a pale golden color and cloudy with a big white head that dissipates slowly. A very welcoming aroma of citrus fruit and fresh wheat. Light body, thin texture. Flavor is wheat, bread, grains, light citrus hops. Finishes with a light bitterness. Easy to drink and fairly cheap (on sale: $5.99/6-pack). Pretty damn good for a wheat ale. (Note: "best by" date was 2 weeks ago)

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a very hazy yellow with a smaller bubbly white head. Aroma of citrusy hops, great citrusy hop nose actually. Malt profile is pretty minimal and letís the hops really shine. Flavor of a great citrusy and piney hop profile. Moderate hop bitterness. Pretty much a hoppy wheat based IPA. Really like it a lot. Drink this fresh and you will be impressed (if you like fresh hoppy, really dry IPAs with little to no specialty malts to sweeten it up)

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
From notes. Very interesting beer. Aroma is of a super bitter pine and citrus IPA where the taste is a bready and doughy Hefe. Interesting and decent, but not my favorite. I"ll most likely drink it again though.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tasted from a 12oz brown bottle into a nonic glass. It poured a hazy golden color with deep fluffy white foam and lace. Great artwork and bottle design as usual. Strong smell of American hops: grapefruit, pine resin plus some husky grains and faintly fruity ale yeast esters underneath. Smooth, familiar wheat beer flavors, slightly citrusy, tangy, mild malt sweetness, nicely balanced. Medium body, bready mouthfeel, spritzy carbonation, lasting bittersweet aftertaste. It was good, very easy to drink, exactly what the brewer said it was, but Iím just getting bored of the American-C hops in general. This recipe with more interesting hops would be off-the-hook!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a cloudy golden yellow with decent head. Strong hop aroma, with some wheat esters. Flavor is a rather strange mix of hops and wheat beer fruitiness. It almost tastes a bit metallic or chemical-ly. Not sure about this one.

In short: A tart and fruity-hoppy wheat base ale. Very good.
How: Bottle 12oz, consumed fresh one week after purchase from a Kansas store.
The look: Cloudy dark yellow body topped by a medium white head with medium retention.
In long: Nose is dominantly hoppy blending with the fruity esters of wheat beer creating an inviting aroma that is a mix of pineapples, grapefruits and bananas. Taste offers a very solid wheat backbone, fresh bakery white bread, fresh bananas, sharp bitter grapefruits, hops resin, freshly squeezed lemons, medium yeast presence. Medium tartness, low-medium bitterness. My bottle lacked a bit of carbonation which is surprising coming from a mass produced Boulevard 12oz bottle. The lack of carbonation made the beer feel a bit heavier than it certainly is. I enjoyed this beer despite the low carbonation and Iím sure I would love it with a more active carbonation. A nice beer my wife brought me back from a business trip, and when I miss my wife because she is away on business I just type stuff in Google because it finishes all my sentences with stuff I didnít mean.
