COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With roots in two of today’s most popular brewing styles, 80-Acre Hoppy Wheat Beer is the result of careful cultivation by our brewers and cellarmen. Their efforts to craft a hybrid yielded a bumper crop of flavor; a delightfully distinctive ale with the aroma of an IPA and the refreshing taste of a wheat beer.

Pours a hazy yellow color with a good sized head and good lacing on the glass.

The aroma is big and pineappley, generally sort of citrus fruit forward, but clean with a little bit of the scent of fresh baked bread.

The flavor is hoppy and fruit forward, lots of pineapple and orange with a tiny bit of banana. Lots of pleasant bitterness and mild bubblegum are both nice characteristics even if they seem an odd combo.

Altogether bright and delicious.

Draft. Hazy golden pour. Nose is huge citrus, clove, light pine, honey. Flavor is strong citrus, unripened citrus, wheat with a lightly bitter finish. Great mouthfeel.

If I had had to choose between hoppy wheat or wheat, i’d choose the hoppy wheat. The hoppiness comes through in the aroma more than the taste. I dig

Bottled, poured into a Sam Adams glass. Aroma is hoppy citrus, very lemony. Cloudy yellow pour with a bright white head. Nice lacing. Lemony hop taste. Bready malt backbone. Nicely carbonated, very refreshing. One of my favorite session beers. A great combination of a refreshing wheat beer and a mildly hoppy ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy from my iPad.

12 oz. bottle thanks to queenholly. My weizen glass shows bright yellow color with tons of foamy head. Sheets of head retention down the glass. Great nose of lemons and yeasty wheat notes. The flavor is really flavorful. Grapefruit rind, Earthy yeasty wheat with a medium bitterness from citrus hops in the finish. Just enough malt to balance the beer and not have the hops over-power the wheat. Overall, I enjoy how the hops complement the wheat and don’t dominate. A session beer I could drink lots of and really damn refreshing. Also a beer I will buy more of. For me that speaks for itself!

12oz bottle. hazy golden-orange body. Thin, soapy, white head. A pleasant, mild citrus touch on top of the classic wheat aroma. I guess I’d be comfortable to call this one a White IPA, based on the citrus edge, but this shows how that could be a slippery slope. Medium bodied, yeasty, fresh, clean. A great session beer.

Tart lemon aroma and flavor, with peppery and herbal character. Pretty dry flavor; a little sweeter in finish, dry again in aftertaste. Nice biscuit/cereal malt flavor that comes out more in aftertaste.

Bottle Pour is a hazy yellow/gold with a big fluffy head that dies down to a lot of clinging foam on the side of the glass and a few patches of it on the surface. Aromas are interestingly hoppy, but not quite what I expected... lots of lemon and pear with a little honey. Flavor follows along those lines... sweet and malty with a nice lemony edge to it. It’s kind of chewy on the palate at times, but still refreshing and nice enough.

Tap at pizano's in Chicago at the loop. Pour hazy yellow orange with persistent thicker frothy head. Nose is citrus and wheat. Good balanced mouthfeel and citrus jumps out at you up front. Some sweet sugary notes to balance the sharper citrus. Sits great with the open windows and summer day here. ---Rated via my mouth

Draft. Very nice light tasting IPA. What I would imagine real light beer should taste like. Worthy of buying a growler of it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
