COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boulevard Amber Ale is an exceptionally well-balanced beer, complex yet thirst-quenching. American pale malt provides a firm foundation. English specialty malts impart a nutty sweetness, perfectly complemented by noble German hops. The deep coppery color holds the light, reflecting a ruddy glow, and the finish is clean, round, and delicious.

Lovely dark red-copper color. Spicy-hop nose with some toasted malts. Just a light touch of caramel malt in the taste, pleasant spicy-hop taste and moderate bitterness over light sweetness. Finishes dry. An excellent drinking beer.

Poured into a pint glass. Hazy copper color with a tight finger of head. Mild malt smell. Honey, light bitterness... and nothing else. Light body, crisp and refreshing. Nothing much going on here. Easy enough to drink and I would choose it over the macros, but not much else going for it.

The aroma starts with hints of bread, nuts, and a floral note. Pours a clear reddish-amber, with a full white head. Apple notes come out in the beer itself, with a touch of nuts and floral hops in the finish. Light on the palate, and drinkable, nothing out of the ordinary.

12 oz. from Chuck’s. Unimpressive amber that tastes a little mealy. Label copy touts additional yeast added at bottling to add complexty. Not sure I believe them.

12oz bottle poured into shaker. Best by date of 3/3/12 Aroma: Caramel, hay, roasty, coffee, grass, floral, leaves, dark fruits Appearance: coppery pour with very little head that faded quickly. fairly clear until yeast was poured in from end of bottle Taste: medium sweet, light sour, extremely light bitter Palate: medium body, thin texture, average carbonation. slightly bitter finish. bit of a sour twang in the finish also Overall: Bottle was past the best by date by a few weeks. DIdn’t do much for me. Aroma was decent as was the taste but the palate seemed off. I could drink this but probably wouldn’t pick it again. Poured the end of the bottle into my glass to get some of the yeast. Seemed to improve the palate a bit. Still not very impressed.

Pours light amber with an off-white head. Smells is a little malty, toasted biscuits with a touch of nuttiness. Taste is of sweet malts, nutty, and just sweet. Light-to-medium bodied with a wet texture and mild mouth-carbonation, Boulevard Amer Ale finishes with a hint of sweetness.

Deep hazy red with a fluffy head that faded quickly. Mild aroma, perhaps a light apple scent. Medium carbonation and a nice coppery taste which lingers on the tongue. Definite apple on the end. Quite nice.

Sample at Ale Wine & Spirits in Powell on 03/01/2012. Pours a dark amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malt and mild hops. Light body with flavors of sweet malt and caramel with a touch of hops in the background. The finish is sweet with a short malt aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.
