2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 EtTuCthulhu (394) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - MAY 19, 2013
The color of this beer is a clear dark golden color with a medium white head that fades quickly, and the aroma combines hints of bread malts and sour dough yeast. The taste combines a mildly sour and a slightly sweet flavor, which, when paired with the light body, slick texture, average carbonation with a bite, and a slightly sour finish.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 574deadzone (538) - North Central, Indiana, USA - MAY 18, 2013
Pours a clear, full golden with a buoyant, thick eggshell head. Nose involves prominent doughy yeast, spicy hops, faint dust and cellar notes, soft citrus and evergreen. Quite sweet initially with a cleansing bitterness. Medium-full bodied, creamy, actively carbed, with a scrubbing dry bitter finish. I really enjoyed this. It isn’t especially demonstrative, but the nuances of the nose in conjunction with how it presents on the palate impressed me. Simple yet complex at the same time. Cool brew.
2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 AbbeyRoade (35) - Missouri, USA - MAY 15, 2013
Aroma is a bit grassy but faint. Taste is very mild with some peppery notes from hops. Some hops left on the palate after swallowing. Not my favorite beer, but refreshing nonetheless. A bit too crisp and grainy for my liking.

2.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 OKplus (355) - Oklahoma, USA - MAY 8, 2013
A - An aggressive pour reveals a dark golden body with a small head that disappears. No lacing.
S - Bready malt, toasted nutty lager yeast, some dry grain.
T - Grainy from start to finish, honey-like sweetness melded with an assertive lager yeast, mild grassy hops stick to top and back of the mouth and create a little pepperness on the finish.
M - Light to medium body, very crisp for a Maibock.
Overall good brew here. Nose was a little weak but other than that it was good. Hops really show up in the aftertaste. Always nice to see a Maibock in a breweries lineup.
