2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 bblack99 (525) - Kansas City, Missouri, USA - APR 7, 2010
12oz bottle pours perfectly clear gold with a big, foamy white head that collapses in sloppy bubbles. Aroma is funky with a touch of malt over a layer of corn "filler", similar to a macro lager. The flavor is far better than the aroma, with a subtle mix of malts shining through. Very simple flavors, good for sessioning in place of aforementioned macro!

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Ernest (5627) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - APR 4, 2010
Bottle.
Head is initially large, frothy, white, fully lasting.
Body is medium yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (grain, husks), lightly hoppy (herbs, flowers), with light notes of soap and DMS, hint of metal.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter, husky.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic.
It always confuses me how so many of the 750mL products from Boulevard are so tasty and yet almost every single one of their 12oz offerings (seasonal and year-round alike) are so mediocre. Oh well.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 kuphish (378) - Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA - APR 4, 2010
Bottle. Pours a moderately sized, frothy white head. Crystal clear golden body. Lots of sweet pils malt along with a fair amount of fresh bread. Some dusty, spicy hops are also present. Flavor is of sweet, honeyish pale malt and some more warm bread. Light, woody hops round it out. Faint alcohol. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Malty sweetness is balanced by a light, but noticeable bitterness. Light alcohol is slightly slick on the tongue. The finish is a bit sticky. Very tasty and repeatable. I dig this as a seasonal.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 JAG55 (73) - O’Fallon, Missouri, USA - APR 4, 2010
12oz. bottle served into a pint glass
This is my first maibock so I don’t have anything to compare other than the standard. I like this beer’s flavor and strong but not overbearing body. Another good Boulevard product.
Pours a clear pale amber color. White head, 1.5 fingers, pretty fluffy, but short lived.
Aroma is crisp and clean, base malt smell with a hint of hop aroma. Earthy, husky smell is very appetizing.
Nice full body balanced by the carbonation. Finish is slick and abrupt. It’s very easy to drink, even at 6.1%.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20 keith0718 (282) - Olathe, Kansas, USA - APR 3, 2010
Great aroma. Although it’s not typically the style I enjoy, I really liked this beer. I’m surprised to see that it’s the same style as Dead Guy. Seems more like an excellently done American pilsner.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 EithCubes (4201) - New Jersey, USA - APR 1, 2010
Bottle best by 06/19/10. Nice to-style nose, grassy hops and pils malty shining though. Sweet, soft water. Pours a bright, clear golden with a large, jiggly white head. Indeed, very soft on the tongue, lightly dry, taste just as aroma with low bitterness and sweetness mixing nicely. Have to give it up - very balanced and enjoyable.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 notalush (4174) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAR 30, 2010
Completely clear golden - effervescent pour - aroma of pale malt and honey sweetness, with some underlying spicy and floral hops - the flavor is fairly similar - clean and medium-bodied - clean, pale malt sweetness - some munich sweetness lingers a little too long in the finish - otherwise, it develops a fairly appropriate hop bitterness for the style - some toasted graininess - missing some of the depth of better examples of the style, but fairly tasty.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 mreusch (851) - Olathe, Kansas, USA - MAR 28, 2010
12oz. bottle, BB 6/19/2010. Pours a clear light golden with a moderate fizzy white head. Aroma is toasty malts, light caramel and spice and some bread and biscuit. Flavor is also malt dominated with more toast, bread, biscuit, and light spice and caramel, with only a hint of grassy hops. Easy drinking, but pretty boring.

33 cl bottle, Fargo, ND, USA. Clear medium golden, minor visible carbonation. Spiced aroma with some sweetness. Somewhat skunky first sip, mixed hop and malt with a sour bitter finish.
