COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The intense flavors of dark-roasted malt in our rendition of the classic English porter are perfectly balanced by a generous and complex hop character. Bully! Porter’s robust nature makes it the ideal companion to a variety of foods, from seafood to chocolate.

Bottle 33 cl. Black with a lightbrown head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt and some sence of dark fruit. Medium bitter taste with a long chocolate ending. Quite nice.

I fully admit to being somewhat of a porter newbie, but I found that this one compared favorably to others of the same style. You can watch it go down here: http://teamchug.com/?p=309

Bully has a light body but strong flavors. Its lovely dark body houses a roasted malt scent. It tastes like coffee with hints of sweet chocolate. The finish captures both hoppy and roasty bitterness. Bully is a textbook porter in the English tradition.

Bottle from Alko Arkadia, Helsinki. Nearly pitch black color with a little but lasting white head. Aroma offers plenty of roasty maltiness with espresso, chocolate and a touch of cocoa. Taste begins sweet but turns later towards rich, surprisingly profound hop bitterness. The finish is dry, roasty and bitter. Flavours of espresso, chocolate and even a hint of dark fruitiness feature. The palate is medium to full bodied with a low carbonation, smooth texture. Quality work from a quality brewery.

bottle. poured into duvel glass. medium light brown head. lots of tiny bubbles. velvety head. not much going on in the nose. some chocolate and that’s about it. taste is 100 times better. A smooth and rich chocolate coats your mouth and finishes with a slight dark choco bitterness. Very tasty. Would like a little less CO2, and some more choco in the nose, but otherwise solid.

12 oz. bottle. Appearance: very large and light brown head, clear deep brown color, amazing lacing. Aroma: bread, caramel, roast, coffee, spruce, citrus. Palate: full body, creamy texture, average carbonation, little bitter finish. Taste: very sweet through out taste with a bitter aftertaste that does not hit until after swallowing. Overall very drinkable for a porter and aromas are very good, also well balanced tastes. Not too memorable however.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark brown with a foamy, beige head; lasting and lacing. Aromas of roasted malt, caramel, and light chocolate. Flavor is roasted malt and light coffee upfront with caramel and chocolate in the middle and a slightly bitter end. A bit thin on the body for the style.

A good porter. Not the knock your socks porter but one that I can always enjoy. Worth it.

Det här var en rätt torr och bitter sak, smaken var dock fin med toner av choklad, kaffe, knäck och nötter. Kroppen var okej men helt balanserad var den inte.
