COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The intense flavors of dark-roasted malt in our rendition of the classic English porter are perfectly balanced by a generous and complex hop character. Bully! Porter’s robust nature makes it the ideal companion to a variety of foods, from seafood to chocolate.

Aroma; oaked smoked malts, hops, yeast, berries, liquor-chocolate. Light orange to beige fruity fluffy head, lasting, making thick lacings, dark dark body as black-brown with some red tones. Taste; dark dark chocolate, hops under it, fermented prunes, cherries. To palate alright, well made. Easy to enjoy. Finishes dry, with coffee and chocolate, hops. Overall well made. Flaske 0,355. Gave fra Rune. Drukket på Bergstua 28 Mar 13. Ekstremt dyp rødbrun / svart. Et pent, litt farget skum med litt lacing. God sjokoladearoma. Smaken er sjokolade & kaffe. Blir litt tørr etter hvert. En god porter.

Black with a white head. Roasted coffee, bready. Somewhat light palate. Medium sweetness and bitterness. Not the most complex of porters.

Black with good creamy light brown head. Sweet aroma has licorice, bit coffee and dark fruits, slight bitterness. Medium body, bitter and semiroasted, drier than aroma suggests, bit fizzy carbonation, fruity notes give sweetness to medium long finish. Ok.

I fully admit to being somewhat of a porter newbie, but I found that this one compared favorably to others of the same style. You can watch it go down here: http://teamchug.com/?p=309

Bully has a light body but strong flavors. Its lovely dark body houses a roasted malt scent. It tastes like coffee with hints of sweet chocolate. The finish captures both hoppy and roasty bitterness. Bully is a textbook porter in the English tradition.

Marstonlad (422) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 27, 2013
Bottle from Alko Arkadia, Helsinki. Nearly pitch black color with a little but lasting white head. Aroma offers plenty of roasty maltiness with espresso, chocolate and a touch of cocoa. Taste begins sweet but turns later towards rich, surprisingly profound hop bitterness. The finish is dry, roasty and bitter. Flavours of espresso, chocolate and even a hint of dark fruitiness feature. The palate is medium to full bodied with a low carbonation, smooth texture. Quality work from a quality brewery.
