The intense flavors of dark-roasted malt in our rendition of the classic English porter are perfectly balanced by a generous and complex hop character. Bully! Porterís robust nature makes it the ideal companion to a variety of foods, from seafood to chocolate.

caramel, roasty, spruce, black, minimal head, tan foam, full body, thick feel, long finish. This is a solid Porter....almost tastes like a smoked porter.

12 oz. bottle. Poured black with a foamy tan head. Aroma was roasted, nutty and woody. Taste was slightly sweet and weak coffee.

Pretty dark pour with a retaining mocha head that leaves some lacing. The aroma is surprisingly faint with a bit of roast coming through. The taste is a complexity of bitterness. The roasted malt and hops far out weigh anything sweet that may be implied. Itís a little difficult to drink with all of the bitter flavoring but overall a pretty solid beer!

Pours black with a one finger white head with nice lacing. Aroma is of roasted malts, chocolate, sweet malts, toffee, and light hops. Taste is about the same as the aroma. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi creamy, slightly bitter, medium finish. Overall, a pretty tasty, drinkable Porter.

Nice creamy light dark ale. I like the chocolaty body but finishes with a hop finish giving good balance and smoothness.

Bottle. Aroma is of roasted malts and yeasty dough. Appearance is opaque black with large 3 finger-width beige foamy head and mild lacing. Taste is medium sweet and light smoky bitterness. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with surprisingly thin texture, average to lively carbonation and moderately long minimally bitter finish. Overall, a little bit thin and bitter for me for the style but enjoyable.

Looks like your typical porter. Smells like a nice mix of coffee and chocolate with some almost burnt malts. Taste is a light chocolate with a short bitter finish. Honestly just picked this up because ive heard boulevard does good things, and they were not wrong.

Pours a mahogony color. Thick tan head at start, had some weird pitting in the head. Itís cute. The head thins out considerably. Pretty decent lacing going on as I drink it.

Aroma is of chocolate and deep roasted coffee. Thereís also dark roasted malt.

Taste is bitter, but thatís okay. I certainly taste the coffee and chocolate, but the dark malt is prominent. But itís not just dark, itís almost burnt malt. But itís yummy. Itís bitter, but again, tasty.

Mouthfeel is deceiving. Itís bitter, but the mouthfeel is medium. Itís not very heavy at all. In coffee terms, itís smooth but bold. It finishes pretty bitter. But thatís because of the style.

Overall, I really like this. Thereís not much else to say about it. Itís what I expect from a porter, and maybe a little more.
