The intense flavors of dark-roasted malt in our rendition of the classic English porter are perfectly balanced by a generous and complex hop character. Bully! Porter’s robust nature makes it the ideal companion to a variety of foods, from seafood to chocolate.

Poured out of a 12oz bottle into a tulip glass. Black with a thick two inch dirty white to tan head. I am having a hard time pinning this down. Dark malt... slight burnt smell. Okay smell, but not great. Burnt something... probably malt. It tastes good, but not very interesting. Crisp for a porter. Light to medium body. Higher carbonation. The higher carbonation is annoying now halfway through the glass. The taste was simple but good. For overall drinkability it is just above average. It is bottle conditioned so I will let a couple cellar for while and see what happens.

Bottle. Nothing amazing, have had far better examples of English-style porters. Fairly thin in taste and mouthfeel, with some liquorice and chocolate. No big flavours that jump out at you, quite watery.

Bottle. Poor a dark black with tan head. Aroma roast and coffee. Some sweetness to taste at the beginning but finishes with chocolate and a little more bitterness than normal. Nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Decent porter, very earthy in aroma from equally as earthy hops. Slight pencil in flavor with toasted malts. Ok!

From a bottle. A brown body with thick brown head that faded to about an inch. Nice retention. A nice malty aroma rich with roasted malts and chocolate. Flavor had nice roasted malts and the chocolate malts seemed subdued. A slightly bitter aftertaste. Dry finish. Smooth body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Smells of soy, petrol, anice and leaves. Tastes a bit like it smells, with additional smoke and some pine. Peristent bitter aftertaste, which is nice.

From bottle 11.10.14. Very dark brown. Frothy and persistent pale brown head and lacing. Inviting roma of roasted barley, dark chocolate, bitter coffee pine and juniper. Similar taste, with liquorice and bitterness, particularly in aftertaste.

Meh. Not too much taste. Not impressed. Drink another porter. Nice colour. Unfortunately, taste and colour doesn't match in this case. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
