3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Habershams, Savannah. It pours clear deep brown with a medium beige head. The nose is big on the coffee, chocolate, earth and wood. The taste is coffee, earth, some acidity, wood and cocoa with sweet coffee on the finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty one-dimensional really. Couldnít drink more than a glass of this.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a ruby brown with a large foamy tan bubbly head that left some lacing. Aroma of coffee, toffee, carame hints of floral hop notes and nuts. Flavor of coffee, milk chocolate, toffee and caramel. Sort of like an imperial brown ale with coffee. Prefer my coffee beers to be stouts or porters (have had a nice coffee IPA or two also).

Shared bottle at local tasting. Pours clear deep nutty brown with a big creamy off-white head. Aroma of brown bread and coffee, lovely. Smooth and filling mouthfeel, taste is light sweet, roasty yet mild coffee, lingering with sweet malty sidenotes.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark brown coloured body with a large, five centimetre tall deep tan and light brown head. Aroma of pure coffee cherries with a very pungent earthiness coupled with some subdued caramel and toffee sweetness - but this one is all about the coffee/hull. Medium-bodied; Strong assertive earthiness and deep bitter coffee flavour with some alcohol bite and a touch of caramelised sugars on the finish. Aftertaste shows a good balance of coffee bitterness and sweetness with a lot of earth notes tucked in. Overall, a good and very representative beer with a ton of coffee hull/cherry flavour with a bit of brewed coffee notes and a bit more of the caramel and sweet flavours noticeable. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Crystal City Wine & Spirits in Arlington, Virginia for US$12.99 on 30-April-2013 sampled at home on the Eastern Shore of Virginia on 15-June-2013.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml bottle - $8.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Batch Number/Best By Date: 2013-1 10-2013.
Appearance: Pours a well-clouded, opaque, mahogany body with a rather tall, lofty layer of browned suds.
Smell: Heavy coffee scent atop what seems to be a big, bolstered brown ale with dense notes of toasted bread crusts, packed brown sugar (dark, natch), cocoa powder. Some cutting alcohol tones noted, some estery kicks, too.
Taste: Dive into a thick pile of bread crusts layered in sweet-tasting dark brown sugar given a pinch of chocolate powder. Yeah, youíve got a little caramel, too. Some raisiny fruitiness noted. Hops are present, yielding some bitterness and struggling citrus to adjoin the alcohol warmth. Plenty of coffee character throughout. The booze ratchets up, eventually overtaking the other tastes, and lasting until the dry, boozy, coffee-laced finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Highly carbonated, though it settles out within a reasonable timeframe.
Overall: Imperfect, but shows hopeful promise. I would revisit a later batch. No, really, I would!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled at esbls. Fairly dark brown. Almost all coffee is smelled. It is tasted, too and is quite nice. This is well done, no pun intended.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750ml from The Perfect Pour, Elkridge, MD. Glad I grabbed this one, since it seems to be one of the Boulevards that didnít make it to NC (for whatever reason). Nice deep brownish-amber pour with medium carbonation, very little lacing. Nose of toasted barley, caramel malts, and very deep bean personality. Prickly mouthfeel accentuates crisp, dry notes. But the deep sweetness of the malts is still there, functioning almost like cream in the coffee. Roasts are subtle, and the character is actually coffee rather than just char. Well done.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours mahogany into a snifter. Mocha head with excellent retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Creamy coffee aromas. Sharp with watery coffee upfront turning to sweet mocha before the dry medium length bitter coffee finish.
