Commercial Description:
Double-Wide I.P.A. uses Zeus and Magnum hops for both bittering and aroma with Ahtanum hops added for aroma. There are two additional dry hopping regimen, employing Ahtanum, Centennial and Chinook hops. The resulting beer is hop forward aroma, redolent of peach and apricot. The assertive flavor bursts with the citrus qualities of blood orange and lemon with a slight caramel malt backbone to balance the intense hop flavor. There is little restraint in the flavor of this beer; it is certainly not for the pedestrian palate.

Not bad, but unremarkable. By no means a bad IPA, but not better than Samuel Smith’s by a long shot. Certainly not worth the $10 I paid for it. I wouldn’t discourage anyone from getting it, but don’t expect a religious experience or anything.

Dark copper red in color with a large, cream colored head. Aroma is of strong hops and grass. Taste is hoppy and citrusy with a "mouth-full -of-grass" sort of flavor.

750ml bottle corked and caged courtesy of theisti. Pours a nice looking light amber orange with a thick lively head that leaves behind a great lacing. Nose is well balanced with grapefruit, apricot, and resiny pine hops. Taste is just as balanced with just the right amount of malt coming trough, for me. This is a wonderful IPA; thanks for sending this my way Tim!

Bottle. Poured a cloudy orange color with a off white head. Smelles of citrus and caramel. Tastes similar but with some pine notes.

Quite a hopped-up brew. Aroma is mainly citrus and apricots. Flavor is solid citrus with some notes of pine. Caramel malt provides some underlying balance, although for an IPA this is pretty hopped. Bitterness is moderate in the finish. The dry-hopping really brings out the hop character. Mouthfeel is a bit over carbonated for an IPA, but overall a great beer.

750 mL bottle poured into shaker- poured slightly turbid copper orange color, thick and hearty tan head formed, bubbled away slowly, and laced very nicely along the sides of the glass. Aroma of pine, malt, and a note of peaches. Hits the mouth with a low-medium body, malt is present but wish it was just a touch more powerful, some light bitterness in the middle, finish is solid- a little dry, but it closes nicely. The label and brew reminds me of Bluegrass Homewrecker Double IPA that I had last summer. Ahh, those were the days...
