yobdoog (1425), Woodridge NY, New York, USA Oct 18, 2008 Very good all around. Nice smooth and complex. Hoppy, fruity, malty and almost tropical sweetness. Some apples too. I would love some more of this. Snojerk321 (1914), San Diego, California, USA Oct 18, 2008 Bottle. Haze amber color with a nice head. Aroma of peach, caramel, sweet bananas, and citrus. Flavor of citrus, caramel, alcohol, and sweetness. Also a nice, strong taste of hops. Ends up smooth, bitter and nice. I was really into this big IIPA, need to pick up a few more bottles. JB175 (1654), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 18, 2008 Bottle from BMan1113VR - thanks! Big malty-sweet aroma with lots of sugar, cereal, citrus, and floral hops packed in. Flavor is quite hoppy with a hefty dose of malt sweetness - citrus, earth, and floral hops dominate. Smooth finish. Good, but a tad underwhelming and overly sweet for a DIPA. KingpinIPA (842), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Oct 18, 2008 Thanks to brewblackhole. Amber color. Smell of hops, citrus, grass, pepper, citrus peal, malt and pine. Taste of hops, citrus, grass, citrus peal, malt, caramel, pine and spicy pepper. Schultsc (478), Henderson, Nevada, USA Oct 18, 2008 Slightly hazy dark red-amber-orange with a puffy light tan head. Thick citrus aromas with a unique dark sweet stonefruit edge. Mild pine needles and resin is here as well and a very slight sulfery fermentation note. Sharp, scalpel-like bitterness cuts a swathe across the tongue and a dry malt fullness rolls in behind it. Flavors of dark yellow fruits, along with peach and apricot, medium-dark malt, and alcohol. It is mostly dry but does give a slight fruity sweetness perception. The body is a good example of fruity hops and soft malt sweetness alongside a forward alcohol character and a warm finish. This might be more aptly categorized a a double IPA Botnik (101), Carrollton, Texas, USA Oct 17, 2008 This shows that Boulevard has great potential. Everything seemed right for a strong IPA. It didn’t quite knock my socks off. Maybe it was the tacky label. Swalden28 (1439), McKinney, Texas, USA Oct 15, 2008 Batch D8107. Pours a nice cloudy light brown with nice head. Aroma is hoppy with malt. Flavor of malt, hop’s, with nice bitter, strong flavor, nice decient bitter at the end. Has medium body and high carbonation. Overall, good stuff.... beergod (97), Houston, Texas, USA Oct 13, 2008 This Dbl IPa pours a nice amber with a nice attractive head. The Nose is present ,and in your face. taste is incredible. Think nice spicy, herbal hops, a bit grassy, with a nice malt backbone. Full bodied and with a nice dry finish. Impressive!
