Commercial Description:
Double-Wide I.P.A. uses Zeus and Magnum hops for both bittering and aroma with Ahtanum hops added for aroma. There are two additional dry hopping regimen, employing Ahtanum, Centennial and Chinook hops. The resulting beer is hop forward aroma, redolent of peach and apricot. The assertive flavor bursts with the citrus qualities of blood orange and lemon with a slight caramel malt backbone to balance the intense hop flavor. There is little restraint in the flavor of this beer; it is certainly not for the pedestrian palate.

This Dbl IPa pours a nice amber with a nice attractive head. The Nose is present ,and in your face. taste is incredible. Think nice spicy, herbal hops, a bit grassy, with a nice malt backbone. Full bodied and with a nice dry finish. Impressive!

Looks great coming out of the bottle. Pours with a nice white head. It seems a bit over-carbonated. Tastes of prunes, but has decent alcohol balance. Not sweet, but gravity definitely smoothes the hops.

Beer pours a beautiful orange amber color with fantastic head and lacing that looked almost computer animated silk bubble screen down the glass. Aroma of centennial hops. Light caramel malts, little sweetness and huge hop bitterness on the back end. Maybe a little thin. I don’t know, maybe it was just my mood, but it didn’t wow me even though the beer had no obvious flaws.

Bottle from pepsican. Thanks man! Aromas of citrus, pine, and some floral hops. Pour is hazy amber with a fantastic head and sticky, sticky lacing. A great looking beer. Nice bitterness up front in the form of citrus and floral hops, a touch of caramel, but the hops are the focal point here with a nice sticky bitterness. Incredibly drinkable with a great hop profile. A delicious beer.

Bottle from Holiday. Cloudy dark yellow with a white fizzy head. Clean citrus and hops aroma. Good crisp citrus, lemon zest, and earthy caramel taste. Decent.

750 ml bottle - thanks to Sammy for the trade; pours dark orange with huge, off-white head; malty, lemony hop aromas; not sure where this is on the age scale, but come off as a very malty IIPA; mostly clear; sugary sweet and rich texture; bitter in the finish, but overall well muted with the sweetness; seems exactly like something else i’ve had before but can’t place it by reviewing my ratings; very nice

Thanks to valpoaj for this - pours a hazy dark orange, with a soapy, lasting head - earthy hops hit the nose first, and stay center stage, as fruity notes of apricot, grapefruit and peach latch themselves onto some biscuity malt and spicy/zesty herbal character - the flavor is much the same - starts with peppery hops, which diminish a little bit so that grapefruit and orange peel tartness can come forward, followed by a balancing malt sweetness - zesty and herbal in the finish - a little thin-bodied for something this strong, but pretty tasty.

Sample at J Gumbos Aug 2008 Indy tasting - Aroma is sharp pine resin hops with caramel fighting for attention. Flavor is grapefruit, flowery hops and caramel malt all nicely balanced. Palate is tart and creamy. A great IPA.
