| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 21, 2008 A good one from Boulevard. Hazy amber body with a foamy off-white head. Aroma of citrus hops with some pine, caramel, apricot. Citrus hops dominate the flavor. Crisp, refreshing, with a bitter (in a good way) aftertaste.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 19, 2008 Bottle... Hazy amber ale with orange highlights. Mid-sized, frothy, off-white head. Good retention. The aroma puts forth notes of pine needs, grapefruit, apricot and caramel. Full-bodied with a whole-milk mouthfeel and modest carbonation. Tastes much like it smells. A mildly sweet, caramel malt backbone supports medium bitter, citrusy and earthy hops. The lengthy finish is more bitter than sweet and winds up dry. Hoppy nose, citrus, piney. Pours golden amber with a white head. Hoppy flavor, piney, with some citrus, a very good balance. Beerlando (2313), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 18, 2008 Courtesy PhillyBeer2112. Hazy, cloudy orange-amber color. Foamy, bubbly, cream colored head. Minimal, sudsy lacing noted. The nose shows lightly buttery toffee malts along with creamy, orange chiffon and sharp lemon rind hops. The flavor follows suit, showing perhaps a bit dryer than expected, but still very nice. Orangey and lemony hops meet peach and spicy grass notes, all over that same toffee malt background. The dryness translates to the substantial, smooth body. Finishes with lingering bitterness and zest. Not your traditional double IPA, but awesome nonetheless. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 18, 2008 Bottle, This is an IPA not an IIPA, for that fact it was quite good, hops character are grapefruit, pine, citrus, nice well balanced and considering that the abv is above 8 the alcohol is well hidden. Nicely done IPA. Alerider (1), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA does not count | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 14, 2008 Corked 750. Balanced, malty with caramel. Not as hoppy as what I expect in a double IPA. Smooth and drinkable. Illini08 (528), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA

Murky orange colored pour with a big fluffy white head. Aroma was mainly citrus with a definite caramel malt backbone. Flavor was very similar. Citrusy and fruity although not very bitter. Plenty of malt to balance things out. Smooth drinking, very balanced IIPA. Probably too balanced for most hop-heads. Not outstanding but still very tasty.
