| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 17, 2009 Can’t remember if I scored this via a specific trade or maybe secret santa. Either way thanks! Corked bottle pours a hazy, orange amber, with a frothy, lacing, active white head. Nose was balanced citrus, oranges, lemons, some pine, grapefruit, with a hint of biscuits. Flavor was nice and also well balanced, some fruits, apricots, some light toast, biscuits, a touch of lemon. Finish was lasting bitterness and just a tad sticky. Very nice as a stand alone, but straddles the line between IPa and DIPa. bhops (334), Dallas, Texas, USA

Pours dark orangy brown, thick head. Nose was hops and pine, with some caramel sugary backdrop. Flavor lived up to aroma... Nice bite, hops were nice and green, good crystal malt underneath. Very enjoyable. Hops were not overpowering. CheersMate1 (869), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 24, 2009 760 ml. bottle from the local QFC. Nice looking stuff i.e. haze brown and orange color. Fairly translucent beer. Nice fluffy head sitting on top to compliment the lovely looking body. Nice combination of citrus and pine hop aroma. Malts are adding a sweet caramel aroma that is mixing well with the beer. Very nice pungent beer I must say. Beer has a slight hint of alcohol. Very hoppy brew. Pine hops are coming through with a touch of citrus to back it up Sweet caramel malts aren’t really playing a huge role, but enough to balance this thing out somewhat. Very smooth Double/IPA. Overall, a very solid double that I am glad to have tried twice now. travita (1970), Frisco, Texas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 22, 2008 Amber color with a big head. Nice look. Citrus hops in the taste with medium bitterness. Nice smell of citrus, pine, down to earth feel. Good aftertaste. glennmastrange (870), hobe sound, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 4, 2009 Bottle. Moderate aromas of roasted, flowers and orange for the malt and hops, light soap for the yeast, and hints of toffee, date, and turpentine. Head is creamy/frothy, off-white with fair lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is murky orange/tan. Flavor starts lightly sweet, heavily acidic, and moderately bitter, then finishes moderately acidic and bitter. Palate is medium, dry, and has a lively to fizzy carbonation. It finishes astringent and very dry. I liked this IPA, bordering on a DIPA. Good smelling, just a bit off in the flavors. vyvvy (2069), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 15, 2007 Sampled at the STL microfest. Pours hazy orange with a dense off-white head. The aroma had lots of floral and citric traits with some pale malt backing it. Medium resiny body with fairly soft carbonation. The taste was very dry with pine, dry grapefruit, pine come and some soapiness. The finish is quite bitter and resiny. A good attempt at the style, but missing what it needs to be great. It could be the use of only Zeus hops. JohnC (2287), Mission Viejo, California, USA
