Commercial Description:
Boulevard Dry Stout is velvety black and perfectly opaque, and topped by a thick, creamy head. This very drinkable, delicate beer is a delightful harmony of smoky roasted flavors with a silky smooth finish. Now available in bottles.

Appears black with a faint white head that stays for a moment. Streaky lacing is left behind. Smell is of black patent malt with slight sweet fruitiness. Taste is of the same smell with not a whole lot going on to make me want more. Mouthfeel is semi dry and slightly sweet.

Poured an opaque black color with a small, light tan head that left no lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast, nuts, smoke, and light chocolate. Taste was chocolate, some roasted, and light toasted malt, with a faint tartness, almost metallic taste in the end. A little disappointing.

Served on tap at the KC Irish Fest. It was poured into a plastic cup, but I still think I got a fair evaluation. It was velvety black with and silky smooth nitro head on top. There where some very subtle roasted aroma. The soft roast carried through to the flavor. There is a bit of a sour tinge, and mild bitterness. This is a very light an refreshing stout. It was close to 90 degrees this day, and this beer really hit the spot.

Brownish black color. Virtually no head. Dry, roast malt aroma, with plastic and banana hints. Subtle, bitter, roasted malt flavor with a hoppy, bitter finish

Darkness in it’s fullest expression matches the look of this brew, but the head is not as impressive, slim and soon gone. Aroma: slick, viscous, dark, molasses-like, slightly syrupy...but doesn’t stand out in the right way. Lays kind of flat, after a while. Taste: underwhelming, flinty, dark, but lacks in texture, carbonation, mouthfeel, body. Does have a fuller body, but not as full as it ought to, and lacks considerably in character. Blah. Blech. Hooey. Dry, yes, but seriously shy in flavor. Maybe it’s easy to drink, but easy to like, if you’re like me and you yearn for something significant in flavor. I wanted to like it, but there’s no way around this one...sorry...

Thanks to heemer for this beer from a while back pours dark w/ a very small tan head.Smells of licorice and chocolate w/ some other malt and a dryness to the aroma. Palate is pretty solid. The flavor is sweet dark fruits w/ brown sugar hint of semi chocolate and a dry hop finish.

The best part of this beer is its appearance. The palate is weak and flavors too washed out for a good stout in my opinion. It poors a nice black beer with a good light brown head. ARomas is roasty with some hint of chocolate. Flavor is too light but has typical roasty and coffee flavors. Some hops bite present in the finish.
