12 oz bottle. Pours a deep brown nearly black with a pillowy tan head. Aroma of rich roasted malts, lots of sweet nuts and chocolate, both bitter and sweet. Flavor starts with a lot of creamy malted milk ball sweetness and then is quickly hit hard by coffee and dark chocolate bitterness. Finishes dry and straightforwardly bitter. Medium body and a soft carbonation. A decent dry stout, pretty bitter

Shared by HogTownHarry with Blankboy and I. Appearance: Cola black with quickly dissipating yellow head. Aroma: Light spice, coffee, smoke with a light creaminess too. Flavour: Thin body, toasty, smoke, lots of peat and a nice dry finish. Not bad.

Bottle ( 12oz ). Shared with blankboy and garthicus, via trade with mreusch. Deep clear ruby with an average mottled tan frothy head. Roasty, lactic aroma, nutty, slightly sweet, quite pleasing. Taste follows, more of a dry sweet stout - average slick body, mild carbonation, slightly burnt in the aftertaste. I liked it - and it’s been in my fridge for a year and a half too!

Very dark mahogany pour with a thinning off-white head. Aroma is strong with roasted mal and some fruit. Flavor is roasted with some berries, but a thin, almost watery mouthfeel. Finishes light and somewhat bitter. Left a bit to be desired.

Sampled from 12-oz bottle from Boulevard variety 12-pack. Pours an opaque dark brown brew with a thick off-white head that quickly dissolves to a fine film. Aroma of roasted dark malt, chocolate and burnt toffee. Taste is smooth, creamy medium bodied, with flavors of toasted multi-grain, chocolate and allspice. Finish is a little tart, light palate, with a light toasted malt aftertaste.

Bottle. Black with an off white head. Lightly sweet and nitro like chocolate with some roast y notes. Soft session able with a mild roasted finish and a silky body. Nice stout.

12 oz bottle from Soonah. Pours a deep dark black body with a small to average sized very foamy super light beige head. Aroma had some distinct sour notes about it along with more sourness, yuck. Thin body, especially for a stout with some bubbly carbonation, especially for a stout. Flavor is slightly better then the aroma and not nearly as sour as the aroma lets on, notes of burnt malts, brown bread and towards the end a hint of chocolate and coffee. This beer was pretty much a fail.

12oz pour, thick black with a 3-finger cap of fluffy, cream-colored head. Decent lacing.
Light roast aroma, tiny coffee flavor with a bit of nuttiness and a good bite.
Thin in body for a stout, a bitter and dry finish. Tiny, tiny ABV, completely unnoticeable! Competing against Schlafly Oatmeal Stout tonight...we’ll see how it turns out.
