Commercial Description:
Boulevard Dry Stout is velvety black and perfectly opaque, and topped by a thick, creamy head. This very drinkable, delicate beer is a delightful harmony of smoky roasted flavors with a silky smooth finish. Now available in bottles.

12oz bottle courtesy of dakid618. Pours a dark cola brown to black color with a one finger off-white head that settles quickly to virtually nothing. Aroma is roasted and malty with notes of coffee grounds, dirt, dark chocolate with some hints of ripe dark fruit and faint sweetness. Flavor is also roasted and malty but thin with coffee, toffee, dark chocolate and some ripe dark fruit and molasses notes. Generally medium body with a thin malty coffee finish.

12oz bottle. Pours a dark brown with a nice, tan head. Nose is of ash and roast malt. taste has the same ashiness and roast malt. Mouthfeel is thin for a stout. Not impressed.

Poured a deep black, almost fully opaque with a small tan head. Smelled like chocolate, but didnt really finish as long as I had hoped. Overall, it was alright, but nothing I would choose to drink every day.

Pitch black coloured body, 95% opaque with a nice dense light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, light coffee and a small amount of chocolate. Medium-bodied; Pungent taste of roasted malt and coffee with a light chocolate bitterness and a fresh clean aftertaste. Showing signs of hops and bitterness at the end, but very rounded and nice. Overall, a good dry stout - no harsh flavours at all and hardly any alcoholic twang to speak of. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on 04-February-2006 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

On tap at the flying saucer in KC. Pours a pitch black body with a thick and creamy buttery white head. Leaves a good amount of lacing and lingers for quite a long time. Milky aroma. Some chocolate and light roasts. Caramel. Similar taste. Very milky and creamy. Light bitterness and dusty milk chocolate. Sweet. Soft palate and very smooth. Overall, an easy drinking session beer and a decent offering from KC’s own.
