COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Velvety black and perfectly opaque, our bottled Dry Stout is the somewhat livelier companion to our popular draught version of this enduring style. This surprisingly smooth, drinkable beer is a delightful harmony of smoky roasted flavors and tangy, coffee-like notes.

Huge head and it lasts forever. Dry is also an apt descriptor here. Dry stout usually means bland stout, but this is actually quite roasted and full flavored, just very dry. The burnt malt bitterness lingers a bit on the tongue.

Pours a deep dark color almost black with a light ruby tint when held up to the light, there is a big fluffy tan head. The aroma is simple with some coffee and dark chocolate. The flavor is nicely roasty with a good mocha character and a nice mild hop bitterness. Texture is creamy and very nice.

Bottle shared by Crosling. Poured a deep brown color with a thin beige head that diminished to a layer. Uninspiring nose with hints of bakers chocolate, some light roast, and a sweet fruitiness. Smooth, moderately sweet entry leads into a awkward sour twang with some faint roastiness and some sweet fruity flavors that ends lightly dry. Fizzy on the palate and a bit thin. I am not sure this bottle was in good shape given some of the other reviews and the light sourness present. I guess I will have to retry in the future.

Like drinking smoke, In a good way. Very affordable without cutting too many corners.
