phishpond417 (1861), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Aug 20, 2008 Sampled from bottle, this brew pours a dark black colour with a medium bronw head. Mouthfeel is light, not as creamy as i expected it to be. Subtle notes of coffee, toffee and oak. Taste is light, chocolate and caramel flavors. Goodgrief (1144), Middletown, Delaware, USA Aug 17, 2008 On Tap at KCI Airport Brewpub. Dark choco brown pour with thin head. Nitro pour, so sure, it was silky smooth...but along with it, a muted taste. Mostly roasted malt with hints of chocolate. Hints of everything. I’m not a fan of these nitro pour, extra smooth mouthfeel but little taste stouts. They wanted something to give a Guinness experience...ok, they succeeded. hayduke (1620), Eureka, California, USA Aug 14, 2008 From a 12 oz bottle this poured a rich chocolate brown with nice foamy light tan head and good lacing. Nose is of roasted malts with some ripe fruit. Medium to light mouthfeel. Thinner than it looks. Flavor is mostly of roasted malts. Dry bitter finish. Darkover (1308), Columbus, Ohio, USA Aug 10, 2008 Very dark brown with a small brown head. Weak roasted aroma. Flavor of toasted/roasted malts. Finish is dry. nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Aug 3, 2008 12 oz bottle from a boulevard sampler pack. Pours a dark black with a one finger brown head. Aroma of roasted malt. Flavor is very heavy roasted malt with a little bit of a bitter finish. Overall the beer is watery, unlike most stouts I’ve had. I was very disappointed in that aspect. I rarely find myself saying this, but I wish this beer were heavier. djd07 (721), Houston, Texas, USA Aug 1, 2008 Bottle as shown.
