Ungstrup (14757), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 24, 2006 A hazy deep red-brown beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of berries. The flavor is only slightly roasted combined with a light note of berries, and the body is thin. I find it boring, would like more power in the flavor. Papsoe (14642), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 21, 2006 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Beautiful, clear dark red mahogany with a small, off-white head. Aroma of hard roasted malt. Rather light-bodied with a high carbonation - too fizzy actually. Burned, malty accents with a rather light, bitter finish. Not really an impressive effort. 200606 omhper (12154), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 5, 2005 Bottled, thanks beerhandy! Black, small head. Fairly sweet with lots of coffee and some molasses. Clean, fizzy mouthfeel, medium bitterness. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 05/29/2007

Oakes (8058), gone rambling, Vietnam May 16, 2001 Lightish, toasty, with some faint hop notes. argo0 (6861), Washington DC, USA Sep 22, 2002 Looks just like a Guinness. Nominal roasty aroma, mild roasty flavor. Not too much to it -- overall, fairly disappointing. hopdog (5534), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 23, 2005 Bottle shared courtesy of weeare138. Poured a dark black color (with red at the edges) and a very small sized off white head. Aromas and tastes of chocolate, roasted malts and light dark fruits. hopscotch (5440), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Jan 20, 2005 Bottle... Extremely dark ale with a large, frothy, beige head. Great retention with strong, cirrus and thunderstorm lacework. Toffee, roasted cashews and chocolate nose. Well-balanced. Chocolatey, malty, dry flavor. Medium-bodied and fizzy. Short, crisp, clean finish.
