Commercial Description:
Boulevard Dry Stout is velvety black and perfectly opaque, and topped by a thick, creamy head. This very drinkable, delicate beer is a delightful harmony of smoky roasted flavors with a silky smooth finish. Now available in bottles.

Fairly thin pour but decently dark in appearance. Very little head. Burnt malt aroma. Chocolate and roasted malt flavor. Flavor profile is similar to Bully Porter though not near as good.

Dark brown color, small tan head that had a short life then faded to leave just a faint lace behind. The aroma was roasty malt with a nice hint of hops and maybe a little grapefruit, chocolate and coffee as well.Nice roasty flavor with a decent amount of hops coming through.Slight acidic side and the chocolate flavor is a little weak when the brew was cold but as it warmed up the flavor started to come out better. The brew starts out kind of thin and sweet and finishes off with a decent semi-bitter dryness. Not bad but i’d have say that they have better brews from these guys. Thanks to Falconseye for sending this brew my way.

Black pour wtih a thin creamy head of tan. Aroma is is not very distinctive. Mild roast. Flavor is roasty with a dry finish. Actually, there is a pretty weird flavor. Kinda twangy. A nice stout, but not stand-out. Nice body.

Pours jet black color, decent size light brown head that doesn’t last with no lacing, has light chocolate and coffee aromas. Dark roasted malty chocolate and dark fruity flavors, light to medium bodied with a crisp and carbonated mouthfeel maybe a little thin, finishes with a very dry bitterness.

Re-rate- Had again on tap a couple years later. This is still too thin and not up to the Bully standard. Otherwise, a decent malt and smoky character. Original rating - Had this on tap when it first came out. Generally I am a fan of Boulevard, but I thought this was a weak offering. Way too much coffee flavor. Also, I thought this had a little skunky taste to it.

Dark brown, nearly no head at all. Some roasty-caramel-malted aroma - very mild and not very striking or unique. It is very dry indeed! Almost ashy with dryness. Somewhat bitter, not-so-smooth finish.

At Tap: Sampled at Whiskey Creek Wood Fire Grill - Hayes, Kansas. Light bodied, lightly roasty stout with a watery, dry finish. Mild coffee note and a clean, simple finish.

Dark but not totally opaque. Smells like sweet fruit and coffee. Thin palate. Very light body. Not bad. Thanks Tom.
