COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Velvety black and perfectly opaque, our bottled Dry Stout is the somewhat livelier companion to our popular draught version of this enduring style. This surprisingly smooth, drinkable beer is a delightful harmony of smoky roasted flavors and tangy, coffee-like notes.

12oz bottle via trade with eboats! - Thanks Caleb! - Pours black with a nice creamy tan head that stayed very well and laced the sides of the glass. Aromas of coffee, and bitter hops. Flavor is nice coffee bitter with some hop flavor and just a touch of chocolate. Nice roasted malt presence too. Finishes dry as a good dry stout should. Palate is medium bodied and smooth. This is an easy drinking stout that I could get used to..

A very flavorful and drinkable stout. Has a fantastic smokiness and leaves a heavy aftertaste deep in the throat for continual enjoyment. The thing that really sells me on this beer is its smoky flavor and drinkability. This is definately an old standby for when I can’t find anything new to try but want something yummy.

Had this on tap. Short tan head that stuck around a bit. Dark as night. Nitrogenated. Roasty flavor and aroma. Easy on the palate, so very drinkable. Not a hint of sweetness. Excellent brew.

12 oz bottle. Pours a cola brown, with a thick dark brown head. Rapidly fading large bubbles. Smells of smoke and alcohol. Tastes very much like coffee, chocolate and a little earthy. Very smooth mouthfeel, as is the case with the mid and end-taste.

On tap. Pours nearly black with only hints of brown. Head is a nice pillowy tan. Aroma is woody, roasted malt and coffee. Flavor is roasted malt, coffee and a bit of chocolate. Relatively light mouthfeel for a stout. Very nice finish. Easy to drink. I’ve also had this bottled and mreusch is right, it’s not as good. Overly carbonated, I’d subtract at least half a point for the bottled version.

I love dry stouts and I love the Boulevard Brewing Company, put that together and I should get an extremely goof brew...Well, that is not exactly what happened but Boulevard did come through with another solid beer in my book. It lacked some flavor and the aroma wasn’t what I expected though.

Bottle as shown. Pours a very dark brown with a thick frothy tan head that diminishes rather quickly. The aroma is roasted malt and dark chocolate. Sticky lacing on the glass. The taste is a sweet roasted malt with a smooth dry finish. A good dry stout from Boulevard.

Pours a deep dark color almost black with a light ruby tint when held up to the light, there is a big fluffy tan head. The aroma is simple with some coffee and dark chocolate. The flavor is nicely roasty with a good mocha character and a nice mild hop bitterness. Texture is creamy and very nice.

Not a bad stout. A little sweeter than I expected. Aroma is roasted with some nutty smell. Some nutty chocolate in the taste.

A very solid Dry Stout. Balance of flaked barley and roasted barley is right where it should be. It does seem a little bit harsher than it should be, which could be just because the carbonation is too high or perhaps a water issue.
