Entwined Ale is the first production batch of a test beer formerly referred to as Nelson. While the recipe was adjusted slightly from the original tests, the use of Muscat juice remains the focus. The juice was combined with pale malt in the brewhouse for a beer that is light both in body and in color. It was hopped exclusively with a New Zealand hop variety called Nelson Sauvin, known for its tropical fruit and white wine-like aromatics. This unique session ale has a refreshing, slightly tart finish.

12 oz bottle. Aroma is chalky, a vague sweet smell, apple. Pours extremely pale yellow with a large white fluffy head with good retention; laces a little. Taste is sweet and lightly tart; the dry finish reveals faint Muscat. Highly carbonated with a thin body. Super simple beer that goes a little too skimpy on the wine grapes, methinks. If it didnít mention the wine grapes on the bottle I would say it was a straight blonde ale.

Bottle. Pours a clear pale yellow with a bubbly white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of musty grain with some dry grape and just a hint of earthy grains. Flavor has notes of dry grape and sweet grain up front with a growing earthy note throughout.

One of the least impressive Boulevard beers Iíve had. Iím not really sure what the goal here, but for a session ale, the chardonnay character is a little distracting.

Clear golden with a thin head. Aroma is mild grape with a bit of wheat. Flavor is a little like white wine with a different body and some carbonation. Unfortunately, not a very good white wine. A little malt in the finish. Wife: 3.6

Single from total wine. Iíll admit it was 30% off or else I probably wouldnít have bought it. Still a light crisp drink albeit with a bit too much grape juice for me.

Poured from a bottle it is a clear light yellow with a slight head aroma is of apricot and the taste is limited and light with some suggestion of wheat. More of a thirst quencher.

From a 12 oz bottle shared in Avon NC. Pours a clear gold with a thin off white head. Vinous nose. Flavors of Pinot Gris and Belgian yeast. A bit weird but actually pretty refreshing on a warm sunny day.

10/1/2014. From bottle. pale yellow with a white head. Light and crisp with citrus and grassy flavors. Meh.

Light, both in color and texture. Tropical fruit and lemongrass. I would not have come up with "grape juice" if it didnít say that on the label.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours yellow with a white head. Taste sweet, fruity, grassy. I thought this was good. I would drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
