Boulevard Ginger-Lemon Radler is a zesty, refreshing take on the tradition of mixing beer with soda or lemonade to create a light, thirst-quenching beverage ideal for warm weather. Radler (literally “cyclist,”) takes its name from active German sportsmen of a hundred years ago, but our version tastes just as good even if you do nothing more strenuous than lifting it to your lips.

Beautiful hazy yellow color. Two to three finger white head. Aroma is all about the ginger; the smell comes through so strong to me it reminds me of Vicks vapor rub. Taste is a good balance between the lemon and ginger. Feels great in the mouth; perfect carbonation. Overall I’m surprised by this beer in the most wonderful way. Fantastic.

Pours from can a cloudy straw yellow with thin white head that fizzes up then vanishes without a trace. Aroma is ginger at first, followed by lemon. On the palate, there’s also a nice ginger flavor but it’s quickly balanced by lemon. Sort of a soda pop feel, but without much carbonation. This is very refreshing when cold, a good drink for a hot summer’s day. Otherwise, I’m not sure that I wouldn’t opt for a ginger-lemonade with a beer on the side.

Can of Radler. White head. You can smell the sweetness, lemon, and the ginger. Look like cloudy lemonade. Tastes fuzzy on the tongue with lemon being the main flavor. Overall this is a real nice summer beer and is way above average.

Pours cloudy yellow with a thin head that quickly dissipates to a lacy film before disappearing completely. Aromas of sweet citrus and lime. Flavors are sweet lemon, lime, cut grass, ginger and mild herbs. Pleasantly tart finish. Lively mouthfeel. This is somewhat similar to a 7 Up. Refreshing. Clean, slightly sticky mouth feel. Not bad.

Pours a hazy golden yellow. Aroma is a little dusty, with lemon and a little ginger spice. High carbonation, with a slightly medicinal twang to the lemon. More lemon than ginger. Not bad, but far from great.

Pours a hazy straw yellow with a thin white head that does not last. Aroma is ginger and lemon as to be expected. Flavor is much the same. Reminds me of a soft drink more than a beer. Oily mouthfeel. Not my thing.

12 oz can. Cool looking can. Best by 8/21/16. Pouring into pint glass.

Pours cloudy lemonade color with about three fingers soapy white head. Pretty aggressive pour, didn’t expect that much head. Head short lived, no retention no lacing.

Aroma is ginger first. Good amount of lemon in there too. Smells like a ginger ale.

Tastes good. Good balance of sweet and tart. It is a slight bit sour. It might be leaning toward lemon flavor, but barely. It’s very light.

Mouthfeel is very light and refreshing. Semi dry, pretty well carbonated. Slightly sour. This is extremely drinkable. Wow.

Overall, this is quite delicious. It could stand to be a little more carbonated, but other than that it’s a delicious darker. Keep in mind, it’s a darker. Yes, I will buy this again, and yes I would recommend it.

With Z, pours a hazy lemon colored pour with no appreciable head .Taste is through and through ginger and lemon . Taste is unsurprisingly spicy ginger with lemon, with very subtle alcohol ! Finishes on the same spicy tasting notes....poolside or at the beach or after working outside only . A radler and nothing more . Quaff Score 6 / 10

Can. Pours a hazy pale yellow with a white head and aroma of strong ginger. Taste is of giver as well throughout, along with lemons and wheat leading to a spiced ginger, lemonade finish.

Bottle from Beltramo’s in Menlo Park, CA. Aroma is ginger and lemon. Refreshing ginger and lemon soda vibes...not picking up much of the beer.
