COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boulevard Ginger-Lemon Radler is a zesty, refreshing take on the tradition of mixing beer with soda or lemonade to create a light, thirst-quenching beverage ideal for warm weather. Radler (literally “cyclist,”) takes its name from active German sportsmen of a hundred years ago, but our version tastes just as good even if you do nothing more strenuous than lifting it to your lips.

Incredibly rich ginger lemon flavor. It is the ultimate shandy. Cloudy yellow color with a distinctive ginger aroma.

12 oz bottle. Hazy pale gold with a decent white head. Aroma is heavy in ginger with notes of lemon, and straw. Taste is of ginger, lemon, tart, and grain. Fresh and crisp.

Pint at Bigelos. Hazy yellow golden. A lemony aroma. This beer has a lot of lemon and lesser ginger. A little yeast. Plenty of malts. An enjoyable radler.

Keg @ Flying Saucer, LR. Gold pour with a small head. General lemon lime nose with a bit of ginger freshness. Taste is pretty light. Spritzy lemon powerade. Light body, strong carbonation. OK mindless summer fun.

This is about as good as these sorts of things get. It tastes pretty much like soda w/ a witbier like texture. It is cloudy and orange in the glass w/ a thin, fine-bubbled head. The ginger character here does seem to be natural or at least a very high quality extract as it has that legit earthy character that makes ginger so nice. This is definitely not one for purists but I think Boulevard really nailed what they are going for here.

Pour on tap, clear orange-yellow pour with white head, aroma brought notes of big lemonade, grapefruit, yeast, spice, some slight ginger and clove notes in there as well. Taste is a mix of grass, lemonade, and ginger, a bit of honey, slight earthy and spicy notes, finishing sweet, very lemonade forward.

Pours hazy golden with a medium white head, good retention, fine lacing. Aromas of lemon candy, ginger, hay. Light body, crisp, velvety. Mildly sweet, medium tart, only a little bitterness in the finish. Very light and easy to drink.

Ginger beers are not my thing and this one does nothing to convince me otherwise. Not that radlers are great either. Had a taste of this at whole foods.

Bottle. The look is super cloudy, pee colored, thin white head. The smell is lemon, ginger, fruit, spiced, sprite. The taste is spritzy, thin, fruit, ok. Light refreshing tartness. Not bad for what it is.

Cloudy yellow brew with no head. Smells of lemon. Taste is exactly what the description said, Ginger ale with some lemon juice added. This doesn’t even taste like it was ever a beer and is just plain nasty. Got this in a sampler so I sure hope the others are better than this sink pour. After thinking about it a while this brew reminds me of the teenage trash can punch parties. So for a trip down memory lane and the outrageous trash can mixes we came up with this one does have a good point to it. Might take the other two and toss in some various liquors and really go down that lane.
