Clear dark dark red brown color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, coffee, wood notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long to average duration, chocolate, a alcohol burn / warm finish. Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thick dark brown head. The aroma is very roasted with strong notes of citrusy/grapefruit hoppy notes. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt wood, coffee, dark bitter chocolate, and wood, leading to a bitter, roasted finish.

Black with a huge deep beige head. Sweet aroma with burned malt, dark chocolate and espresso notes. Flavour was sweet with burned malt, dark chocolate, espresso and hoppy notes. Finished burned and bitter.

Amber-accented dark brown. Nice big head. The aroma is of cheap coffee with some alcohol and light nuts. Creamy body. Some dark roast/toast notes. Overall, though, this is a pretty standard issue impy that fails to make any particular impression.
