The head is not lasting, but in the bottle a quick flick of the wrist produces a solid 1+ inch head. The color is right for the style and it is medium to light bodied beer. truebluehes (104), Tipton, Iowa, USA

Aroma is sweet and fruity with a noticeable hop and caramel. Flavor is sweet with a nice hop. Dry fruit undertones. csbosox (1086), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA

Served in a pint glass. This is my third Blvd Irish Ale tonight. Aroma is caramel, toffee, and toasty with some floral, light fruits and earthy hops. Copper colored with an off-white head. The taste is all about the malt and is toasty, melanoidin rich, caramel and toffee with some nice floral and lightly earthy hops to balance it out. Very drinkable. Always a treat this time of year. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 13, 2008 Bottle courtesy of dadplus2. Pours a lightly hazy reddish brown with a small, creamy, beige head. The nose is lightly toasty malt, caramel and faint floral and earthy hops; clean but fairly muted. Fairly light-bodied with soft carbonation and a crisp, clean, lightly hoppy finish. The flavor is of toasted and slightly astringent caramel malt with a tight, lightly bitter finish featuring solid notes of floral and mildly earthy hops. This is the last of Boulevard’s four seasonal beers that I’ve sampled. Like its three predecessors, this is a well-made and tasty brew. Aside from the Smokestack series, I find their seasonals to be their best beers. Thanks again for this bottle, Mark! unixrab (13), USA

A good take on a traditional Irish Red. This Red tops Leinie’s and Killigan’s... by a long shot. mistersinalin (378), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA

I’m not sure I can tell the difference between this and an amber. This beer isn’t anything special, though I am not a fan of the style that much either. shanepardue (107), Raytown, Missouri, USA
