| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 29, 2006 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Clear orangey brown with a small, beige coloured head. Aroma of caramel and roasted malt. Medium-bodied with sweetish, roasted malts and a discreet note of smoke. Sweetness and a dry hoppiness blends together perfectly to create a very harmonious brew. A lot closer to a Scottish Ale than to Kilkenny. Lovely. 250606 Tmoney99 (4807), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 28, 2006 Bottle. Poured reddish brown with a huge frothy off-white head that lasted and produced good lacing. Moderate toasted sweet malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet bitter flavor with a sweet finish of moderate duration. This beer would go well with spicy food or a cigar. henry3r (586), Wichita, Kansas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 15, 2006 The 12 ounce bottle poured a slightly hazy reddish amber colored beverage with a medium sized cream colored fizzy head that lasted fairly well and left good lacing on the glass. The balance leaned slightly toward the hops side with a sweet floral hop aroma. Behind this the malt made itself known in the form of notes of roasted grains, hints of caramel and toast. The body was medium-full with lively carbonation and a sharp, dry texture. The flavor started off a bit sweet which quickly changed to a nicely balanced bitterness. This bitterness lasted throughout the medium-long finish and was accompanied by an alcohol warmth toward the end. Crash (449), Macomb, Illinois, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 1, 2006 Deep Amber in color with a frothy creamy like head. Caramel sweetness evident in the nose with slight fruitiness from esters. Caramel sweetness is evedent in flavor with a lowbitterness to balance. Toasted flavors come through in the back of the beer at the finish. Light creaminess and maderate carbonation give this beer a very nice mouthfeel. Over all a very drinkable beer.
