| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 13, 2009 Pours from the bottle red in color with a light tan head which lasts a long time. The head has a rich, creamy appearance. Aroma of caramel and light toast with some earthy notes. The caramel notes in the flavor blend nicely with the bitterness of the hops. The flavor starts sweet, and has a lenghty, earthy finish. The mouthfeel i a little creamy, but finishes dry. nearbeer (1887), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
