Irish Ale, Boulevard’s early spring seasonal beer, is our Midwestern tribute to the legendary red ales of old Ireland. Our recipe combines six kinds of pale and roasted barley malts to provide a rich, toasty flavor and tawny reddish hue.

A dark slightly hazy amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with quite a lot of fruit and hops combined with light notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of fruit, caramel, and light notes of alcohol, leading to a very dry bitter end.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Clear orangey brown with a small, beige coloured head. Aroma of caramel and roasted malt. Medium-bodied with sweetish, roasted malts and a discreet note of smoke. Sweetness and a dry hoppiness blends together perfectly to create a very harmonious brew. A lot closer to a Scottish Ale than to Kilkenny. Lovely. 250606

Bottle. Poured reddish brown with a huge frothy off-white head that lasted and produced good lacing. Moderate toasted sweet malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet bitter flavor with a sweet finish of moderate duration. This beer would go well with spicy food or a cigar.

All my brews tonight courtesy of Soonah. Thanks! Bottle, Pours a slightly hazy brownish-red. Very faint aroma, an earthy maltiness. Thin head,. Tastes vegetal to me. Kind of like broccoli. Definitely not a fan of this one.
