From a bottle provided by dm9831 - It poured a clear reddish amber body with a substantial ecru head but little lace. The aroma is sweet and malty with a touch of butterscotch and some herbal/floral hoppiness. The flavor is smooth and malty, has some toast and a hint of orchard fruit, all balanced out by a moderate bitterness. Dry finish. Nice sessionable ale.

All my brews tonight courtesy of Soonah. Thanks! Bottle, Pours a slightly hazy brownish-red. Very faint aroma, an earthy maltiness. Thin head,. Tastes vegetal to me. Kind of like broccoli. Definitely not a fan of this one.

Bottle. Buttery caramel malt and grassy hops aroma. Copper color with small head. Milk caramel malt and moderate grassy hops flavor. Medium body. A nice beer - hoppy for an Irish ale.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 BBB63 (5023) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - APR 11, 2004
Disclaimer, I have drank close to 60 bottles of this beer before RB: I'm still love the pour of this beer, nice deep copper hue with long lasting beige head and excellent head, just like I remembered. The aroma hints of toasted caramel malts with toffee tones, biscuit and bready, aromatic and grassy hops, light allspice, and dusty yeast esters. The taste starts malty sweet with a liberal notes of wildflowers and hayfield. Undertones of mild pear, traditional bittering hops, and caramel. The finish display a nutty, grassy, and a sublime grapefruit tone. The mouthfeel is above average for style, smooth and creamy, nice! You would be hard pressed to find a better American made Irish ale styled beer. Very recommended.

Dark copper color with a small lid of light tan bubbles. Aromas of earth, nuts, esters, dark (near burnt) caramel, and touch of rubbery hops. I’ve made this brew as a home-brew years ago. It was a brown ale that fermented out father than I wanted. Ended up thin and weak on the palate with flavors that did not seem to meld together, much like this brew. A light nut brown ale to me.

bottle, medium head that quickly fades, red amber color with fruity malt nose, good hoppy malt flavor with hints of caramel and grapefruit, smooth finish

Picked up a 12-oz bottle from Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN. Pours a clear reddish amber brew with a fast dissolving beige head that dissipates to a thin off-white ring. Aroma of multi-grain cereal malt, some flowery hops, a touch of yeast and herbal spice. Taste is medium bodied, some carbonation with flavors of biscuit bread dough, flowery hops, some sweet citrus. Finish is slightly metallic and light with a citrus aftertaste the quickly disappears. A solid Irish ale at best.

12oz. Bottle: Got in trade from phaleslu; THANKS Peter! Aroma of malt, slight caramel, light toasting, and some bread and cereal. Poured orange in color with a medium-sized, creamy, tan head that diminished but lasted throughout. Slightly cloudy. Sparkling. Full of tiny particles throughout. Very good lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of malt, caramel, and a little bit of hops. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Malt and caramel finish.

Bottle (12oz). Shared with garthicus, my bottle via trade with mreusch. Shared with someone who should know "Irish" when he tastes it ... he liked it, but can’t recall ever smelling or tasting anything like this back home ... Poured slightly hazy copper with a small wispy drool of off-white head. Odd perfume/floral aroma, reminded me of fruit-flavoured Pez, with sweet caramel malt underlying it. The taste had plenty of floral sweetness, but it had a welcome pungency that seemed to pass for bitterness - regardless, it seemed a little more balanced than I was expecting. A thick, syrupy body to this, with mild carbonation, not much alcohol character, and a long pungent floral/raw spice linger. The aroma seemed a little sweet, but I found I really enjoyed that flavour.
