Thanks to MOBoy for the trade. Pours a beautiful rich dark amber color with a medium beige head. Aroma is pleasantly toasty and malty. Full sweet malt flavor with a touch of hops and caramel. Finish is sweet. Not bad at all.

UPDATED: FEB 27, 2007 This has a beautiful amber color. Tried this again recently on tap. It’s a nice brew. The aroma has some carmel, nuts and a little hint of apple. the body is a little highly carbonated, but I also find that in the bottle. The taste is slight apple with some caramel, iced tea and a little bit of citrus in the finish. A good brew. I am rating this again with the 2007 batch from a bottle. Nice light body and flavors are the same, but maybe a little more muted. A good session beer.

Richly colored red beer with big waterfalling head that was sticky on the glass. Nice. Surprisingly sweet-wheaty aroma. Tingly and hoppy, sweet and tarter than I expected ... almost like a heartier American wheat.

12. Pours a clear medium brown with garnet edges and a loose tan head that doesn’t do much, not for very long. Spotty lace. Big brown bread and brown sugar nose, kind of toasty, very caramelly. Creamy medium body, a little light on the carb. Toast, caramel, brown bread, and brown sugar on the mid-palate. Mild malty finish with a little herbal hop finish. Not a lot of yeast or hop character to this one, and precious little carbonation.

Bottle - courtesy of Mike at Bon Vivant. Copper body with a tall foamy tan head. Nose is fruity with caramel and spicy hops. Light flowery notes as well. Taste is hoppy and floral with light spice notes, dried fruits (apricot, orange) and almost a nutty trail mix type flavor. Body is slick and creamy with a moderate overall feel. Finishes with more of the same, pretty much - spicy hops, light floral notes, and dried fruits.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 thedm (4124) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - JUN 20, 2010
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a very large sized head of finely sized tan colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a softly carbonated transparent copper brown colored body. The mild aroma was malty and dough. The thin mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish. The flavor contained notes of metallic hops and malt. An OK brew just nothing special.
