COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Irish Ale, Boulevard’s spring seasonal beer, is our Midwestern tribute to the legendary red ales of old Ireland. Our recipe combines six kinds of pale and roasted barley malts to provide a rich, toasty flavor and tawny reddish hue. Whole hops are added to enhance the beer’s complexity and to produce a pleasing balance.

Thanks to Degarth. Ruby red pour, white head. Grapefruit hops bigtime, grassy, malty, but nto much else going on, it was ok.

Bottled sample. Tough to describe this one. Very malty and almost somoky flavour. Nicely carbonated. Might not have this one again though. Not my style

A nice looking caramel color beer with a nice tan head and good visible carbonation. Aroma is caramel malt, earth, and some hop tanginess. Flavor is barley, malt, and some grapefruit notes. As it warmed the tartness faded a bit and the malt moved to the front along with some spice. Interesting Irish with the hop profile.

Good looking, with frothy head and fine clarity in the body. Neutral aroma. Unexciting caramel malt flavor. Finishes tight and dry. THere is some appeal in its sour snap that comes in late, which actually accentuates some sweetness.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a very large sized head of finely sized tan colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a softly carbonated transparent copper brown colored body. The mild aroma was malty and dough. The thin mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish. The flavor contained notes of metallic hops and malt. An OK brew just nothing special.

From a mixed six from the Kroger on Lamar. Nice reddish orange pour with a little head. Aroma is dark fruit, brown sugar, and a little fruity hops. Taste is a malts, and citrus, and caramel. Nice finish.

Bottle split with Barrios at woody’s. Hazy orange brown pour with a ring of tan head. Nose of malt, smoke, peat, and some alcohol despite being low alc. Flavor is toasty, biscuit, and acidic. Average blah.

First rating for me, so forgive any naivety. Pours a decent red, but I’ve seen better in brews like Great Divide Hoss. Aroma is ripe with barley and wheat. The mouthfeel is a bit too sharp with carbonation, but is still enjoyable. The taste is of barley and pine with the expected red ale aftertaste. Overall a decent brew, but not a particularly memorable one.

Spicy and fruity, with a marked bitterness to it. Nothing too special, really. Wouldn’t buy it again.

All my brews tonight courtesy of Soonah. Thanks! Bottle, Pours a slightly hazy brownish-red. Very faint aroma, an earthy maltiness. Thin head,. Tastes vegetal to me. Kind of like broccoli. Definitely not a fan of this one.
