Like many American burgs, our town was once home to a number of small, regional breweries. As they disappeared, so too went the full-flavored but easy drinking classic American lager. Today, we salute these bygone breweries and revive their legacy with Boulevard Pilsner: 100% malt, real hop character, unpasteurized. It’s the taste of tradition.

Best by: 25AUG11 A: Pours a light honey ale with less than a single finger of white foam which falls to a broken sheet of the same. No lace. S: Smells of honey, grain, maize, hints of tea-like hops. T: Slightly bitter, slightly sweet. Doesn’t have the grain profile of a really nice German Pils IMO. A little too sweet without any sharpness. M: Medium bodied (a little heavy for the style), sharp and high carb (good for the style). O: No better than avg IMO. Serving type: bottle 07-22-2011

Good clean taste. Nice pour, ok aroma. It’s a pilsner - what can I say? Drinkable, light, just enough flavor to get by. It’s decent.

Clear, golden pour with a white head. The aroma is mostly grain with some light, earthy hops. It has a light body with soft carbonation. The taste is mildly sweet with a smooth finish.

Pours a translucent golden with a bubbly white head. Aroma of bready malt, citrusy, floral and lightly herbal notes. Flavor of bready malt, nice and dry. Some lemon, grassy and spicy notes. Well done pilsner.

2013 bottle to a pint glass. Pours a crystal clear golden color with a good sized white head, thin lacing. Smell is malt with a little sweetness coming through, hint of banana. Taste is malt heavy with a little floral bitterness at the end. Highly carbonated and somewhat phenol. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
