4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml bottle - huge thanks to our local Boulevard rep for sharing this!
Ruddy amber pour with very little head. Aromas of dark fruit, bourbon, oak - tart and vinous. I believe the ABV on the label was 12.5% which was crazy well hidden. This was very drinkable and had a good amount of tartness without being overpowering. Lots of whiskey, bourbon, and stone fruit.

Rating #6000 and a HUGE thank you to the head brewer at FW, Matt Bryndilson for sharing this with us after the FW fest. Pours a hazed brown color with a tan head. Aroma is mildly tart, oak, whiskey, leather, barnyard funk and some red wine notes. Flavor is lightly sour, fruity, leathery, manure, dark dried fruit. A neat beer and I am honored to have the chance to taste it in great company. Cheers.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Post FWIBF beer. Graciously shared by the brewmaster of FW. And I still have the bottle. Cloudy reddish brown pour, dark fruity, a little tartness on the nose, get some brett as well. Not overly sour but very tasty nonetheless, so wonderful to be able to try this rare beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Never thought I’d have this one, but a ’promo’ bottle was kindly shared by a friendly local beer shop. The beer pours hazy mahogany brown with a dense tan head. The aroma has some vinegar sourness, but that is more than offset by a full rich malty presence. There is a very buggy wild yeasty presence throughout everything. The body is fairly thick and smooth then some rough carbonation comes into things. The flavor starts with a big rich maltiness that’s quite chewy and toasted. The some sourness kicks in, but there is none of the vinegar from the aroma. The flavor is also very buggy and has the sweet-tart taste that is in a lot of sour/wild ales. The finish is grainy husky and tart. Very nice beer and the high alcohol is nowhere to be found in the taste of the beer.
