COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sour characteristics come to the fore in this release, foreshadowed by the tart, winey aroma. Notes of cherry, chocolate, olive brine, and leather give way to a subtle hint of funk and a dry, clean finish.

Sampled at Falling Rock. Pours a hazy orange with some cloudy white head. Herbal nose, grassy, berries, wood. Sweet, herbal flavor, woody, rose water, dandelions. Full, tart, acidic finish. Nice, but a bit too acidic.

Same table as the others and this was the bomb. Tasty brew liked the mild sour funkiness.

Bottle @ THE Sour and Saison Tasting. Cheers to Leighton for the pour! The pour’s a deep reddish amber color with a medium head. The nose is herbal hop, garden patch, some ketchup and sea salt. The taste is mild balsamic reduction, bramble, some raspberry bakery tart. Mild sugary cookie. Medium acetic tartness on the long finish. Medium body, active carbonation. Overall, pretty solid work.

Bottle at THE Sour and Saison Tasting, London. Pours hazy, brown-gold with a light, white foam head. Some sweet, bready malts in the nose, light tang. Medium sweet flavor with some vinegar character, light leather and ripe berries. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Moderately dry to finish with light warmth, some more leather, brown bread, light vinegar, berries. Good, biting tartness in here, with some lovely nuance.

Bottle thanks to Leighton at THE sours & saisons tasting (part 1). It pours deep cloudy red, with a thin off-white head. The nose is jammy fruits, cherry, vinous, wood, earth, fresh coconut and almond. The taste is cherry jam, lemon, pithy grapefruit, pomello, mouth-puckering tartness, some alcohol heat, vinous aspect, faint vanilla, leather and wood, with a dry, pleasantly tart finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and slightly heavy mouth-feel. Pretty well integrated. Enjoyable stuff.

Scrumdiddlyumptious! I would drink this often. Probably one of the more unique things to come out of the Boulevard brewery.

750 ml bottle picked up at Cardinal Liquors (Joliet, IL). Excited to try this one.. Was surprisingly hard to find. Pours a richer ruby copper amber hue. Good haze, good glow, and mellow copper glowing edges. A frothy offwhite head dies to a ring, laces small. Aromas offer a touch of sweetness, mellow oak and whiskey, some sour cherries, gentle lactic lemon grow, kisses of brett. Initial is medium bodied, kiss of thickness with a lighter body. Cherry, lemon, and a good sourness despite that "dirty" nose. Richer sour kick up front, as the middle gives souir cherry and lemon, gentle vanilla, oak. The beer totally transforms from the nose.. Less sweet sticky malt elements, with good tart/sour elements. Very good beer, good flavors, nose can be a bit offensive. Solid offering, good dark fruit. Nice, aside from the nose.

Bottle. Slightly hazy orangish pour, with off white head. Grain, cherry, sourness, a bit of cheese, leather, and oak. Good.

Bottle. Nose is big, full sour with an earthy funk and stone fruit. Just between red and brown with no head. Flavor is sharply acidic with a rich funk and loads of fruit. Cherry, strawberry, peach, pomegranate. Medium bodied and immensely easy to drink. So unbelievably good.
