3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, 75cl corked. An unclear amber colored beer with a small, dense, beige head. Some vinegar on the nose, with dried apricots, some berries and a faint note of caramel. Lacks a bit on complexity maybe, but it’s certainly nice. That goes for the flavor too, where there’s vinegar, oak notes, caramel hints and dried fruits. Full to medium body, very soft on the palate, pleasant carbonation. Lasting finish. Definitely a nice American sour, the bourbon well hidden. 130812

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle with my wife at my grandparents. Pour is murky amber with a small white head that dissipated. Big vinegar, lightly spicy, cinnamon, caramelly, bready, red wine, and woody aroma. Taste is big vinegar, fruity, somewhat spice, weird caramel malty, and bready with a big sour finish. Slick mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Much too vinegar heavy and not as good as the previous offering.

Wow, this was good. Murky red, with a decent sized head. Smells like tart cherrie and balsamic vinegar. Taste is a smooth, tart mix of cherry, lemon, and oak, with notes of balsamic vinegar and citric acid. Very tasty stuff. Thanks to theisti for the trade!
