UPDATED: FEB 22, 2014 19.01.2014, 0,75l bottle @ home:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is sour red berries (mostly red currants), mild vinegar, oak, berry skin, hints of paint and grass. Taste is lots of sour red berries, soda powder, berry skin, sorrel, raw rhubarb, mild vinegar, oak, grass. Nice acidity. Very nice, but I can’t really see where the bourbon aging kicks in.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
750ml bottle split with the wife celebrating the birth of our twins. We now have 3 love childs.
A - Pours a murky with a small head.
S - Smells sour, acidic lacto, mild dusty funk, sharp damp wood, sour orchard fruit, apples, berry tartness, some peppery notes, whiskey soaked wood. The aroma of old furniture woods comes out when warmed up.
T - Puckering sour upfront, acidic fruit, unsweetened cranberry juice, tart cherries, apple skins, lemons, sharp salty cheese, a rounding whiskey and wood slowly sneaks out as it warms. The finish has a snappy pepperness to it, but closes crisp and clean.
M - Sour with an acidic bite, mild effervescent carbonation that smooths out as it sets.
This packs a pretty sour punch. The tartness puckers your taste buds, scrubs the palate bringing with it complex esters, leaving behind light whiskey and old wood. Very nice roundness with crisp and snappy finish. I wish I would have bought more.

Bottled. A hazy reddish beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes over ripe fruits, brettanomyces, malt, wood, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, brettanomyces, wood, berries, and a bit of bourbon, leading to a tart finish.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a little dark for a sour, deep golden , almost amber with a fluffy and somewhat lasting offwhite head. Fantastic aroma of citrusy acidity, oak and hay. Tart flavor, again with citrus-acidity and oaky notes. Finishes dry and leaves my mouth watery, like when you’re excpecting to chew into something sour. Drinks very easyily for being so strong, abv - wise..
