COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boulevard Lunar Ale is a cloudy, russet brown beer, with subtle aromatic notes provided by our special proprietary yeast strain. Lunar Ale’s distinctive rounded, mellow flavor is crowned by a crisp, dry finish. The old world art of bottle conditioning creates a secondary fermentation, resulting in a beer that tastes fresher, better, longer.

found an expired bottle. poured hazy brown. really good looking beer. taste was dominated by sharp lemon flavor. don’t remember it always being like this but was very awkwardly all lemon with dunkel flavor as a companion.

Bottle @ home. Slightly hazy, amber appearance with a light tan head. Quite sweet, dark wheat malty, big banana aroma. Pretty light bodied, quite sweet, big banana wheat malty flavor. Body is a little weak and the banana flavor is a little overpowering. Not at all great.

Very strong malty banana flavor to it, among the best dunkelweizens out there.

Bottle. Pours brown with zero head. I’m really hoping this beer went bad, because this was awful. Thin, sour dishwater with fizzy carbonation. Blech. I’ll rerate again, but I’m not in a hurry.

Pours a hazy rust colour. The aroma is yeasty and has some basement aroma. The taste is overwhelmingly bitter, astringent and reminiscent of rusty tap water. Did not like it or finish it... I almost don’t even want to finish my session today because this beer left me so turned off.

Poured a cloudy light brown, mild aroma, light head. Tastes watery and not impressive.

Bottle served in a dimpled mug. Pours amber-brown with a slight haze and minimal head. The thin fizzy top grips the glass in tight bubbles, but leaves no lacing. Sweet belgian nose, with fruity esters, toffee, and coconut. Moderately sweet flavor. Light-medium body, fizzy carbonation, surprisingly slicky texture, and a soft, sweet, coconutty dry finish. I don’t think I would call this a dunkel. It’s more of a light belgian brown, and a very nice one at that.
