Bottle from Lithy, thanks! Orange brown color, hazy. Malt and a hint of nutmeg in the aroma. Malty sweetish flavor with pear and nutmeg. Not unpleasant, but not outstanding.

Bottle from D&J Liquor of St. Louis, MO. Dark amber color with a decent beige head that went down fast. Smells a bit like old style linoleum paste. Medium body with very mild carbonation. The instant impression is restrained banana, with some dark grainy malt sweetness. It has a decent amount of citrus like bitter. Finishes like it ought. For me it’s refreshing.

Bottle… Pours hazy amber with a small, fizzy, white head that’s gone in a flash. The nose is defined by dark cereal grains, spice, touches of overripe banana and chocolate with a suggestion of caramel. Medium-bodied with bristly carbonation. A smidge of chocolate with restrained essences of overripe banana and spice. Sweet up front with light acidity, but bittered well enough with minerally hops to provide near-perfect balance. Sweet, grainy, chocolaty finish.Bottle provided by headbanger!

Bottle shared with shigadeyo. Poured a chazy copper color with an average off-white fizzy head that was mostly lasting and produced fair lacing. Good banana and spice aroma. Light to medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Good sweet flavor with an average sweet finish of short duration. Soft drinkable brew.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 CaptainCougar (6834) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - MAY 5, 2007
Pours a hazy copper amber with a wispy-lacing light tan head. Aroma of sweet dark malted wheat and bready, citrusy, clove German yeast with a hint of bananas. Body starts a little thin for the style with a light malty wheaty sweetness and some authentic doughy yeast. A decent dunkelweizen.

Aroma is perfume hops with alcohol and the fruity smell I have come to associate with Boulevard beers (its like a mix of banana, raspberry or cassis and some other floral hops). Pour yields a hazy brown sugar body with a small fizzy off-white heead that goes away fully, but leaves decent lacing. Taste is bitter and salty out back with a yeasty aftertaste. Watery mouthfeel and lively carbonation round out this pleasant beer.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 3fourths (6399) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JAN 20, 2008
12oz bottle. Dark burgundy plum colored body, filtered and clear but dark. The nose is ashy cashew and walnut malts, and the flavor is weak-bodied but fresh walnut and toasted bread with small amounts of maple. A decent brown ale or dunkel, but not really anything great. That’s to be expected from Boulevard’s attempt at an agreeable beer.
