At 100+ IBUs, the hoppiest beer weíve brewed to date. Pretty nervy for a bunch of Midwesterners.

Hops: Mosaic, Cascade, Amarillo, Citra, Centennial

Bottle @ home, courtesy of pepsiedcan. Thanks bro(nus)! Pours a wee hazy golden appearance with an off white head. Wow, the aroma is quite intense. Cracker, toasted pale malty, grapefruit, a bit dank nose. Super easy drinking, maybe a bit too bitter, toasted cracker, lemon, grapefruit, light onion, a touch piney, resiny flavor. Slightly too bitter, but not horrible. Great beer that I wish I could get in Colorado!

12 oz bottle purchased from the brewery (Kansas City, KS). Brought home from the recent trip. Pours a decent hazed amber gold hue, some orange fire cuts through just a touch and makes a dulled summery glow hit the bod. Decent haze, a cakey offwhite head atop stays fairly sizable, nice rentention and decent lacing throughout. Aromas show soap and crackers, bready malts meet some decent florals, citric zing and zesty oil elements. A bit earthy, bready the hops come a bit more focused as it warms. Initial is lighter end of the fold in body, a bit bitter and floral, more earthy hops hit the palate quickly. Gentle pine, touches of earth and faint Band-Aid meld in. Touches of citrus, lemon and mellow pithy grapefruit start to kick a bit. Middle is mellow, lighter bodied, a bit bready and dry with that Band-Aid rubbery feel hitting a bit. A middling sufficient hop character keeps working to cut through. Some interesting albeit fading citric hop elements meet firmer florals, touches of melon and grapefruit, lemon smack a bit. Backend is bready, a bit dry and certainly bitter but fading hop flavor and complexity, touches of plastic, cat pee. Finish is bready, dry, faded fruit elements as some of that awkwardness fades away to some decent fruity life. This eventually comes together, some tropical and pineapple juice finally come through and sustain as we settle in throughout the glass from that more bitter front end that trails off. I dig this, itís solid but loses me at times through the middle and backend with some off flavors as far as flow. Good. While a lot of neat hops are used here it seems to lack cohesiveness and almost works against itself at times. Still, when itís on it is definitely on showing some of those more assertive Citra and Mosaic bites in spurts.

12oz bottle via mixed 12pack shared with Dean. Poured a clear bright gold bidy with loads of floaties throughout the entire body and a smaller to average fizzy white head. Aroma is floral hops, himey sweetness, citrus and lime with a hint of saison yeast and white pepper even. Medium body, super dry like eating a cracker, seltzer like caronation. Flavor of white toast, grains, citrus rind, lime zest, dry hineycomb and grass. Nice balanced IPA.

Pours a slightly hazy pale golden body. Massive fluffy white head that is inherently sticky. Big hoppy, resinous nose with grapefruit, fresh grass, and floral fragrances. Citrus and pine flavors. Very smooth, sessionable IPA.

Review from 1/30/2015. 12 ounce bottle, best before 04/18/15. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a hazy dark gold color with about an inch white head that stayed around for a long time. Thereís also a lot of lacing. The brew smells like citrusy (grapefruit) and floral hops, bready malt and a bit of peach. Taste is pretty much the same as the aroma, but thereís also some tropical fruit and grassy/pine hops noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, itís a bit slick and creamy with moderate carbonation. The label says this is 104 IBUís, but it doesnít seem like that to me. I think this is a good but not great IPA. It was nice to try this, but Iím glad I picked this up as a single instead of buying the mixed 12 pack this was in. $1.50 a single bottle.

12 oz bottle. Murky, light golden pour, soft, snow white head with a bit of sticky lacing. Aroma is fresh and resiny with some hoppy spruce-like notes with a touch of spearmint. Flavor is solid withe some requisite grapefruit bitter notes, a touch of mango sweetness, some caramel maltiness, a hint of yeast in the back end. Nice thick rich mouthfeel. Thanks to Aurelius for the trade!

Bottle. Poured clear amber color with an average frothy white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy complex hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture with soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration. Very good brew.

On tap at the Sanctuary. Hazy orange, fluffy head. This is a surprisingly good everyday Boulevard. I hope this comes out as a regular in our area. Bitter dry finish and Iíll drink another.
