COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nutcracker Ale is Boulevard’s special offering for the holiday season. This hearty, warming brew is a classic winter ale, deep amber in color, with hints of molasses balanced by the "spiciness" of freshly harvested "wet" Chinook hops.

Aroma os spice, pine and hoppy floralness. Taste is allspice, cinnamon with clove and then a citric hop wave rolls over it all. A bready toast or biscuit malt backs things up.

On tap and shaker served at Bigby’s Pour House in Addison, IL., showing a clear, deep copper color, moussy, lasting, light tan head foam, and clingy ribbons & rings of lacing. The aroma was an expressive dose of sweet, mid-fruit and citrus, mild malt, light spice, and a touch of resiny spruce on the back. Medium bodied with a slight creaminess to the mouthfeel, alcohol was not necessarily warming, but present in the flavor, along with a somewhat dry & earthy hop bitterness that lingered into the finish. Came together and showed it’s balance better as it warmed. Not an altogether big beer for an English Strong, but tasty and well crafted.

Aroma is spicy with a hint of hops. Pours dark amber colored with a good head that fades slowly. Taste is of molasses and spices with a dry, hoppy finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle poured into glass. In a few words this is a pretty solid beer but any Christmas flavors/spices has sort of died off. Not really any spice to speak of. A good beer none the less but I just would have liked a little bit more spice.

Dark amber with small head and decent lacing. Resiny pine hop aroma with some sweet malt. A hint of honey followed by pine and grassy flavor that settles quickly and some of the sweetness returns. Moderate/full mouthfeel and low carbonation. Liked it the more I drank. Was a bit to hoppy at first but got better. Alcohol hidden well. A good beer for hop lovers but not what I want in a Christmas ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma is sweet malts. Pours a medium amber with a none lasting white head and no lacing. The taste is mildly sweet. Malts, and hints of citrus. Medium body and medium carbonation. Overall, sweetish to the point of blaaaaa. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

What beer should be. A great tasting ale beer with a hoppy taste and a nutty after taste.

Tremendous seasonal beer. Not overpowering like some with the seasonal spices though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, deeper amber pour. Some Christmas spice, ginger, allspice , cinnamon. Flavor was slightly muted. Ok, expect more from this brewery

Decent winter ale from Boulevard. Nice dark red color and piney nose, though a bit malty for me. Good warm alcoholic finish. Solid ABV to price ratio, makes it a nice holiday standby.
