COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nutcracker Ale is Boulevard’s special offering for the holiday season. This hearty, warming brew is a classic winter ale, deep amber in color, with hints of molasses balanced by the "spiciness" of freshly harvested "wet" Chinook hops.

Poured from 12oz bottle, pours brown with a decent off white head. Aroma is sweet with a little bit of hops mixed in, flavor has spices on the front end with some hops in the finish, abv is well hidden, not bad

Bottle. Orange-caramel malt and orange peel aroma. Dark amber with large head. Sweet caramel malt and moderately bitter orange peel hops flavor. Light body. Okay.

12 oz bottle thanks to ben & marti: Pours light chestnut brown with a thin white head. Aroma deep caramel malts, cirtus and piney hops. Hoppy winter beer with a good malt profile. Sweet on the front but slightly bitter and a little sour at the end.

12 ounce bottle as shown in the photo. Amber color, steady streams of carbonation. The spice flavor only had a cameo here. There was a subtle sweetness and it was much smoother than most warmers that I’ve tried. Highly drinkable, despite the high abv, yet not highly distinctive in taste. Medium bodied. Overall, nice although ho-hum.

Pours a fairly hazy crimson-ruby with a pillowy khaki-toffee head. Nose is a nice mix of spicy, piney hops with some fruity malt notes, raisin and brown sugar, and some doughy yeast. Taste is pretty sweet, really quite bitter, and maybe a touch tart. Palate is heavier than medium bodied, creamy yet crisp, with a lengthy fruity and bitter hop finish. A nice brew, a lot going on but it all works together. Good fruitcake quality combined with solid hopping. I like this. Nice strength. It’s only "spiced" quality is the fresh hops, which is great because I’m not into the spiced winter warmer type stuff.

Excellent beer. Pours a slightly cloudy amber with a decent off-white head. Citrus and bread in the aroma. Nice and malty flavor with a bit of dark fruit. Decently balanced, and the wet hops come through on the finish. Flavor doesn’t linger too much. Medium body with a bit of carbonation on the tongue. Very good winter seasonal.

Bottle. At 7%-ish there is no burn whatsoever! This could be a panty dropper! Way to go Boulevard! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

pours a murky orange brown color with minimal head, aromas of floral hops, dark fruit, and a fruity alcohol like aroma. the taste is pretty dry, i’m picking up some dark fruit mostly raisins, it has a mild sweetness to it and a bitter finish. This was my first boulevard, It’s not bad.

Pours a cloudy amber with tan one finger head. Spiciness up front which leads to a nice malty, hoppy finish. Hats off to Boulevard for another high quality brew. Try it! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
