I smelled caramel & citrus. Dark amber in color. Loads of complexity and flavor. I taste hints of caramel on the back of my palate while grapefruit tickles my tongue. Lovely mouthfeel. I enjoyed this beer!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
In bottle. Dark amber malty nose with a slight sweetness. Hops are hidden under the sweetness with a touch of stone fruit. Mouthfeel is slightly thick with modest carbonation. Nutty malty taste with sweetness hitting at the same time as the hops finish is clean with decent length. Worth the drink but not memorable.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from 12oz bottle, pours brown with a decent off white head. Aroma is sweet with a little bit of hops mixed in, flavor has spices on the front end with some hops in the finish, abv is well hidden, not bad

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz bottle thanks to ben & marti: Pours light chestnut brown with a thin white head. Aroma deep caramel malts, cirtus and piney hops. Hoppy winter beer with a good malt profile. Sweet on the front but slightly bitter and a little sour at the end.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 ounce bottle as shown in the photo. Amber color, steady streams of carbonation. The spice flavor only had a cameo here. There was a subtle sweetness and it was much smoother than most warmers that Iíve tried. Highly drinkable, despite the high abv, yet not highly distinctive in taste. Medium bodied. Overall, nice although ho-hum.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a fairly hazy crimson-ruby with a pillowy khaki-toffee head. Nose is a nice mix of spicy, piney hops with some fruity malt notes, raisin and brown sugar, and some doughy yeast. Taste is pretty sweet, really quite bitter, and maybe a touch tart. Palate is heavier than medium bodied, creamy yet crisp, with a lengthy fruity and bitter hop finish. A nice brew, a lot going on but it all works together. Good fruitcake quality combined with solid hopping. I like this. Nice strength. Itís only "spiced" quality is the fresh hops, which is great because Iím not into the spiced winter warmer type stuff.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Excellent beer. Pours a slightly cloudy amber with a decent off-white head. Citrus and bread in the aroma. Nice and malty flavor with a bit of dark fruit. Decently balanced, and the wet hops come through on the finish. Flavor doesnít linger too much. Medium body with a bit of carbonation on the tongue. Very good winter seasonal.
