3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap @ Provisions Market. Dark amber/brown pour with a khaki head. Aromas of caramel, toast, and cinnamon. Some nutmeg, a touch of booze, and spicy hops. Flavor is on the sweet side. Lots of caramel and toast and brown sugar. Nutmeg, cinnamon, and maybe ginger(bread). Kind of bitter, surprisingly. Floral and spicy hops. Just okay.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The nose is malty and floral with notes of caramel and pine.
A hazy, mohogany brew with a frothy, medium sized off-white head. Decent lacing.
Bitter, malty, tart and spicey. Complex.
Long, pungent yet dry finish with clover and straw at the wee end.
A very good winter warmer.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with valpoaj (thanks!). Poured a medium to deeper and cloudy mahogany with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of pine, winter spices (nutmeg, cinnamon, and some others), and citrus. Like an IPA that I dumped some x-mas spices into. Tastes of caramel, spices, and citrus.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Tasted from a bottle at the Parade of Darks in Denver, Colorado. Lightish orange appearance thatís fairly. Mildly spiced with nutmeg. Orange tasting brew that has a light to medium body and somewhat spiced. Kind of weird and not all that impressive.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma is fruity hops like all Boulevards that I have tried. There is a bit of spiciness as well, but I am having a hard time picking or pointing out the maltiness. Creamy, off-white head with good lacing but no retention. Murky, dark orange body. Malty and very sweet flavor, not bad at all. Watery mouthfeel with fizzy carbonation.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: SEP 26, 2012 Has to be tasted at room temperature. Dark brown, nice dark tan head. The smell resembles an abbey dubbel, strangely enough. Clove and bananas are mixed with pine, scotch, cinnamon and alcohol in the aroma. Mouthfeel is even, a little heavy, but just slightly under the texture of a porter. Flavor centers around the hops, but only a small influence of the cascade, which is quite nice, so it must the chinook and nugget that Iím mostly tasting. Fairly even throughout, with a nutty finish. Funny how the hops are subtle in the flavor but very apparant on the palate, as it leaves you quite dry (think cotton-mouth). I am completely overrating this one because I have a history with it and am quite fond of the winter memories of which itís become a part.
