3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
This is the best Christmas beer around. It is a winter ale, has a dark brown color, very malty with lots of spices. Poured a good head.

Brown in color with little head. Spicy aroma which also carried into the flavor. Nice winter treat.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours cloudy and hazy, sort of an orange gingerbread color. Small, off-white head that disappears quickly. Aroma is subtle, but there is some charred molasses that suggests an earthy sweetness. Flavor is a fruity, yet bitter, a hint of molasses, with earthy and spicy hops. I thought this would be sweeter than it is . . . not as full-bodied as I would like. The thinness of the beer is covered up via over-carbonation . . . it certainly dances on the palate, but it seems disingenuous. Still, this makes for a decent session beer, and I find the after taste rather pleasant.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a beautiful honey color with a thick off white head. Smells like sweet maple syrup and grains. The taste is sweet and bitter at the same time, a good balance. This beer has a decent hoppy kick, and fairly active carbonation. Seasonal, so grab when possile.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours an overly-carbonated head on a dark amber ale, have to stop mid-pour. Cream head lasts for a long time. Notable hops aroma. Spicy hops taste on a decently thicker and very bubbly consistency. Slightly dry finish with not unpleasant bitter hops aftertaste.

Another member of a variety pack, I bought for a party. It fit my budget and pleased my guests. A good holiday ale.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On draft. Itís got a fruity-sweet aroma that was pretty unexpected, along with some hop. Thin head with a dark brownish-red color. Itís got a bit of the alcohol flavor youíd expect from a winter warmer, as well as some piney hop flavors that linger nicely. Overall a very nice, slightly more hop-forward winter warmer.

Pours a cloudy amber with tan one finger head. Spiciness up front which leads to a nice malty, hoppy finish. Hats off to Boulevard for another high quality brew. Try it!

Some nice hops in the aroma. Yeasty aromas are there too. Some citrus fruit aromas. Mild sweet malt aroma. Poured a red-brown color with decent head that dissipated fairly quickly. Large amount of citrus flavor. This could be from the wet hops. Decent amount of bitterness, but well balanced with plenty of sweetness. Nice mouth feel, medium-full body. Iím enjoying this beer, but I probably would not drink these back to back if I had even other Boulevard beers available. For me its not a session beer. Its good to try and maybe have one every so often, but Iím already thinking about the next beer I will have, and it wonít be the other bottle from my sample pack.
