COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nutcracker Ale is Boulevard’s special offering for the holiday season. This hearty, warming brew is a classic winter ale, deep amber in color, with hints of molasses balanced by the "spiciness" of freshly harvested "wet" Chinook hops.

I smelled caramel & citrus. Dark amber in color. Loads of complexity and flavor. I taste hints of caramel on the back of my palate while grapefruit tickles my tongue. Lovely mouthfeel. I enjoyed this beer!

bottle...great amber pour...excellent spicy twinge. Nice on a cold night read or NFL playoffs party.

Pours a cloudy amber-brown. Earthy sweet aroma with brown sugar hints. Some citrus taste combined with a sweet nutty feel and low bitterness makes it very easy to drink this cuddled up next to a warm fire. Just don’t let your beer get hot.

Thick off-white head. Rich brown color. Not much by way of aroma. Bitterness is pronounced, especially in the finish, which is dry. Not much in the way of malty flavor, or nuttiness, for that matter. I didn’t detect molasses. Very drinkable, but not extraordinary in any way. I guess the chinook hops had worn off by the time I drank it. A solid example of a brown ale, slightly overhopped.

Tremendous seasonal beer. Not overpowering like some with the seasonal spices though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. At 7%-ish there is no burn whatsoever! This could be a panty dropper! Way to go Boulevard! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice to find a Christmas ale that wasn’t loaded with spices that should be saved for the apple pie.
