Nutcracker Ale is Boulevardís special offering for the holiday season. This hearty, warming brew is a classic winter ale, deep amber in color, with hints of molasses balanced by the "spiciness" of freshly harvested "wet" Chinook hops.

Bottled. Best before 2/1/7. Beer is cloudy, medium-brown. Head is initially average, off-white, frothy. Diminishing.
Aroma is lightly malty with notes of toasted grain and bread crust, trace flickering hints of coffee and molasses; Hoppy with a heavy note of resin/pine, light herbal note; Yeasty with a light note of basement.
The flavor is moderately-to-heavily bittersweet, lightly acidic with a long, moderately bittersweet finish. Rubbing alcohol in the finish and retros
The body is light, the texture is watery and the carbonation is lively.

Muddy brown pour produced little head. Nice malty aroma with a very hoppy initial flavor. Extended finish leaves a creamy bready flavor behind. Not a wonderful beer, but good on occasion

Brown in color with little head. Spicy aroma which also carried into the flavor. Nice winter treat.

Ruby dark color, off-white small steady head. Bready hoppy, a bit sweetish aroma. Nutty hoppy, rye-bread hoppy, also a bit sweetish with caramelly notes. Mix of brown ale and IPA.

Cloudy red brown amber with a good bubbly head and very slight lacing. Smell is burnt dough and is sharp. Flavor is sweet dough too. It has some actual real flavor but it just isnít my favorite flavor. Very very similar to drinking a liquid Christmas tree - huge on pine.

Pours a dark hazy brown with a thick head and moderate lacing. Aroma is yeast and a hint of sweet fruit (raisins?). Flavor is slightly sweet with winter spices (cinnamon and nutmeg). Medium bodied with good carbonation. Not bad, but there are much better winter beers out there.

a good all around christmas beer. amber colored and pretty clear like a filtered ale, or maybe they used a lagering yeast. This particular beer is lacking in the head department. Aroma is malt with a little spice and some herb vegetable (carrot) notes. Dominate flavor is bitter hops and some sweet fruity notes. Consistency is kinda like beer mixed with whiskey. Finish is flavorful and balnced but hoppy.

Itís alright, but not some of my fav characteristics blended together. Poured with a nice off white to light tan head and some lace. Color is an attractive medium amber with some copper highlights. Aroma is malty, molasses, a little toffee, and bit of vanilla/caramel. Flavorís about the same. Good body and carbonation. Kind of a sweet finish. A hint of alcohol at the end of the finish. Not bad.

A reddish-brown beer with a nice head. The aroma is sweet, fruity(berries?), & a hint of alcohol with the taste being the same as aroma.

12 oz. bottle- Pours brownish amber with a thin head and little particles floating around, the aroma is subtle warming spices and a hint of alcohol. The flavor is bitter and somewhat hop forward followed by spices, the beer is very bland actually, it needs something. On the palate the body is thin, carbonation is somewhat high. Overall I wasnít really impressed with this one, being that itís called nut cracker you would think it would have a nutty flavor to it, this is just very average.
