2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 PD4Ever (92) - Kansas City, Missouri, USA - APR 22, 2012
12oz bottle dated best by 2/28/12 poured into english pint glass
Aroma: Pine, hops, caramel, bread, resin, herbs, woody
Appearance: hazy coppery brown. 1 finger of off white frothy head that lingered a bit. Laces glass nicely.
Taste: mild sweet, medium bitter, heavy sour
Palate: finish is bitter and sour. very off putting. medium body and creamy texture. lively carbonation. mouth feel is good
Overall: This is one of my least favorite boulevard beers. Have not had it for a few years and still don’t like it. Too much bitter and sour with no sweet to balance it. Alot of pine and wood that I don’t really like either. Wanted to give this one another chance but it was still another let down
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Nephilium (951) - Ohio, USA - APR 8, 2012
Starts with a nutty aroma, with a hint of piney hops. Pours a clear reddish-amber, with a huge off-white head. There’s a bit of alcohol noticeable, which is strange for this low of an ABV. Molasses, toffee, and pine notes are noticeable, with a lingering roasted finish. Not a bad beer, not sure if I would go out of my way to get it again.
3.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 pudds (28) - Brandon, Manitoba, CANADA - MAR 9, 2012
Hazy golden brown. Thick creamy head that goes for miles. A moderately vigorous pour resulted in so much head that I had to wait for it to settle to continue pouring. Aroma is too mild - hard to detect anything. Faint citrus hops, maybe. Definite hops on the tongue. Light malt, fairly strong pine needle bitterness that lasts after the first taste. Finish is nicely carbonated and leaves me wanting more. Very nice.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 musinj6 (130) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - FEB 27, 2012
Pours a red/orange cloudy with very effervescent head almost like a soda. Quickly dissipates with no lacing. Pine and resinous hops. Cereal and toasted malt flavors that accompany the hops. Primarily a medium bitter taste that is long lasting but smooth in it’s finish. Medium bodied, slightly sticky on the palate with perhaps a little too much carbonation. Overall, I think it has a good taste although I think he has a little too much with carbonation. Favors an IPA.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 TizzleJizzle (177) - Garland, Texas, USA - FEB 5, 2012
Bottle. Aroma of citrus and spruce. Poured a slightly cloudy light brown color with a nice tan-white head that lasts. Watery on the palate. Tasted of slight hay malts with a decent floral hop finish. Overall not bad, well balanced
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 freeofthoughts (269) - Raytown, Missouri, USA - FEB 5, 2012
Pours cloudy brunt orange with of white head. Aroma is gin like, piney and grainy. The taste is big barley grain and a solid hop bite of earthy nature and a little but of spice. It has a dark amber alt taste taste under it all, but the after taste is much more full. Very enjoyable.
