3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 potbeercollege (1322) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAY 27, 2010
Draught from brewery. Really nothing to talk about. Copper with thinner but nice head. Aroma is sweet fruity, touch of caramel and typical but not that strong. Flavor is similar with not a lot of hops appearing until the beers finish. Easy and alright.

12 oz. bottle from Shop ’N Save in Maplewood. Part of a 12-bottle sampler. Pours a clear orange-amber color with a two-finger thick off-white head. Aroma of Cascade hops, orange citrus, pineapple, caramel malts, tea, and honey. The flavor follows suit very closely, with the orange, caramel, and hops pretty well balanced. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a smooth, malty mouthfeel. Finishes a little bitter. Nice, sessionable APA.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 rowbigred (22) - Lincoln, Nebraska, USA - APR 23, 2010
Underrated brew in my opinion. Pleasantly hoppy and zesty with citrus and floral flavors. Slight caramel backbone, pleasant amber color. Good beer for a summer afternoon.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Bludwig (31) - USA - APR 22, 2010
UPDATED: APR 29, 2010 Aroma: This beer has a very delicate and citrusy aroma that reminds me of fresh noble hops and lemon zest. It is very pleasant and refreshing to smell.
Appearance: I poured the bottle conditioned ale with vigor yet the head did not remain long. It is a lovely medium amber color and there is still some lacy foam around my glass.
Taste: This ale has a very refreshing hop assertiveness in beginning that seems to slowly fade into a nice light malty finish that feels still light and refreshing with a slight biscuity and dry finish.
Palate: The Beer is very lively on the palate which is surprising because of the poor head retention. The acidity is definitely present which lends to the overall thirst quenching characteristic of the beer. The hops seem to do an excellent job of balancing the malt of the beer which is kept light so the beer finishes without any of that overly sweat feeling so many American pale ales seem to have.
Overall: An excellent example of an American session beer. A refreshing and well made all that although it doesn’t smash your face off with the craziest flavors ever, should be held in high regard by anyone looking to enjoy a quality ale.
3.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Onslow (640) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - APR 17, 2010
Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Orange amber color, off white head that quickly fizzles and leaves little lacing. LIght bodied with a somewhat thin mouthfeel livened up by pretty active carbonation. Flavor is on the light side but I’ve been enjoying lighter Ales these days. Flavor dominated by hops making it crisp and refreshing. Very good.
