3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 jeff789 (1206) - West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 5, 2011
golden amber with a small white head, fades relatively quickly... no real retention or lacing... orange a little tea like aroma some sweet malts, some lightly grassy hops... lively, some mild sweet malts, english malts, very english, has a nutty flavor... decent flavor but would classify this as an english pale, not an american pale.. easy drinking, medium thin body, could do well with a light bit of creaminess...
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 bsp77 (724) - Minnesota, USA - SEP 5, 2011
Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Pint glass.
Appearance: Clear burnt orange with foamy off-white head and some nice lacing.
Aroma: Sweet orange, grapefruit and spice with some light caramel.
Taste: Light grainy and caramel malts with citrusy and spicy American hops. Mild bitterness on the finish. Typical but light APA.
Palate: Moderate carbonation, fairly thin body, semi-dry finish.
Overall: Easy to drink but it’s really just a standard APA and it’s too light on flavor and body. I bumped the score up slightly because it is pretty refreshing if drank quickly.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Ernesto987 (1257) - Connecticut, USA - SEP 4, 2011
A malt foward pale ale, not much hop flavoring or aroma, but has a bitteri g finish. The malts are on the sweeter side making this slide out of the easy quaffer category. A beer for the masses.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ben4321 (2056) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JUL 20, 2011
Location: 12 oz bottle from Colonial Wine and Spirits, 7/20/11
Aroma: The aroma is fairly restrained, some toffee/caramel, and some light hoppy notes
Appearance: Pours a slightly cloudy caramel color with a frothy beige head and spotty lace
Flavor: It has a decent, typical pale ale flavor to it, lightly sweet and medium bitter
Palate: The body is light-medium, soft to average carbonation, and with an alright mouthfeel
Overall Impression:
My 10th rating from Boulevard, and the beers have really been all over the map from mediocre to great. This one was closer to the mediocre side. It isn’t a bad pale ale, but there really isn’t much special here either.

Thanks for sending me this one, Jeff.
A: The pour is amber in color with a finger of fizzy off-white head that leaves a bit of lacing.
S: A very floral and perfumey nose to this. A bit too much grass for my liking in there with some bready malts and a touch of herbal hops. A little bit of citrus peel.
T: Strong citrus flavor, but it’s almost acidic. Plenty of floral and herbal hop notes with a light breadiness. The flavor seems a bit watery to me. Not a really strong flavor, even for a pale ale.
M: Light in body with a medium to high carbonation.
O: Sort of a disappointing beer for what is usually a pretty easy style to brew.
