COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boulevard Pale Ale is a smooth, fruity, well-balanced beer with year-round appeal. A variety of caramel malts impart a rich flavor and amber color, while liberal use of whole Cascade hops adds zest and aroma. Pale Ale is the first beer we brewed, and continues to be a perennial favorite.

Nice pale ale that is widely distributed in Omaha. Not up to Sierra Nevada status, but it saves on money and is not far off. Nice flavor that is just missing a little of the bitter. Good finish and decent price make this a good buy.

Poured a clear pale copper color with a dense, two-finger tall head that was slightly off-white and provided decent lacing. The aroma was soft citrus and caramel with a fairly aggressive bit of floral and pine hops. The flavor was heavy on the citrus, herbal, spicy side and could have been a bit sweeter. The mouthfeel was incredibly dry and the finish was solid. A light to medium bodied beer.

12oz bottle, courtesy of Gregis. Thanks, Greg! Pours a medium orangish-yellow color; off-white head with solid lacing. Dried fruits and a spicy / smoky note in the aroma; citrus hops surrounding. Medium-to-full mouthfeel, with a significant malt presence at the core (maple syrup and candy sugar, mostly); floral and spicy / earthy hops provide a pleasant bitterness; more of a caramel malty presence than is necessary for the style, perhaps at the expense of a resiny hop character; ends rather fruity and dry.

Bottle and on tap. The hop essence doesn’t feel perfected to me with this blend - not a satisfying drink for my pale ale palate. I’d like more sweetness in this beer. Hits the nasal cavity in a displeasing way. Ok if the flavor is masked by some stronger meat or portabella mushroom burger with lots of balsamic vinegar. Fair.

Bottled, BB 12/31/07. Poured clear, deeper golden with a light cap of white head. The aroma picked up caramel and light vegetal sweetness with pine and perfumey hop presence. The flavor had caramel and toffee sweetness at the base, with a nice blend of pine and citrusy bitterness surrounding.. this was a little lacking in the malt department (a little more could have gone a long way). Light-bodied with a decent balance.. grainy on the back-end where more maltage would have helped.. pine and lemon zest tail off the finish. OK.

slightly cloudy light amber, whispy head, strong pleasant hop aroma, lots of good hop flavor leading to a bitter aftertaste, not a lot of complexity, but a good, yet simple, american pale ale

Bottle courtesy of golubj; poured a gold color with a thin whitish head. Aroma was bready and fruity; also caramel, honey and something I couldn’t define. Pretty strong carbonation, but not detrimentally. Flavor was pretty good; bread, caramel and yeast; also fruit, citrus and a bit of sweetness. Fairly enjoyable from a style that I find boring these days.

Orange, gold pour with short lived head. Smell at first was pretty nice, and hoppy, but after a minute it turned to a very astringent smelling hops and honey like malt. Very carbonated, I thought, and hops are quite present all throughout the tasting of it. Finishes with a touch of sweetness, but the alcohol like chemical presence is a little offputing and keep this from being an above average pale in my opinion.
